Today, on this sunny day, I am here to talk about Walt Disney, a famous Californian. I have a few things to talk about him for, such as his life and hobbies and other things. I will talk about his birth and childhood. Also about his adult life. Lastly, his important accomplishments. Disney had 4 siblings named Roy, Raymond, Ruth, and Herbert . They were born all in Hermosa, and in the 1900’s. He went to the Art Institute of Chicago at the age of 14. His dad was a farmer for the family, and his mom had no job and took care of the chores at the house. He started to work for a man named Roy in animating When he was young, and he helped make a brand new character for the company. He went to an art college in chicago called the art institute of Chicago when he was very young, and graduated when he was 16. He came into the cartooning world after he was eighteen. He became famous for creating a wonderful cartoon character named Steamboat Willie, also known as Mortimer mouse or Mickey and Disney world. He also made Snow white, Donald duck, Minnie mouse, Cinderella, Pluto, Jiminy cricket, King Louie, Ludwig, Aurora, Evil queen, Pete, Clarabelle cow, Horace Horsecollar, Pete jr., Figaro, Julius the Cat, and Sylvester Shyster. He was in world war two at a young age, before he started cartooning. He volunteered, and was there for 2 years. I think it is very important to know this very little detail.. …show more content…
He is in fact dead, and he is buried at Glendale forest lawn national park in California. He last lived in california, at the age of 65. He worked as an ambulance driver and then went to world war 1. His last job was his cartooning job. He died on December 15th, in 1966. He died in California. In his late life, he did cartooning, and died when he was still

First, we’ll start by learning about the background history of Disneyland. Next, we’ll compare Disneyland from when it first started to what it has developed into. And finally, we’ll explore all the eight parks and what they have to offer.

Mr. Disney created the Disney Empire which includes Disneyland and the Walt Disney Film Production. The legacy of Mr. Disney will continue to live long after any of us. In Kansas City Walt and his brother Roy worked a newspaper route that their father had purchased. Elias was a perfectionist so he was hard on his sons as they worked. At this time Walt started being interested in entertainment. He would go to vaudeville and Charlie Chaplin shows and then put together skits with his friend Walt Pfeiffer (Isbouts).

When people think of Mickey Mouse, people visualize Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and all of his friends. They probably think about the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. Without Mickey and Disneyland, the entertainment industry would not be where it is today. The man who brought Mickey to life was Walt Disney. Many people might think of Walt as the luckiest guy in the world with the greatest life, but his story is anything but great by far. Walt worked his tail off all his life; doing anything he could to become successful. He did not let anything get to him and he did not let anything interfere with what he wanted. Walt, who was a creative, imaginative, and visual person, created a billion dollar empire and made a magical world for all ages to enjoy.
Mr Disney was not just a visionary, but enjoyed seen his kids and others enjoy what he made Goofy transformed others with his antics and silliness with a wonderful feeling inside . Ok, we are not kids, but when I go to Disney I turn back in time to enjoy every day looking for Goofy and his friends. Disney is a special place for me and my family and I see it on others that are there.

He did want to call the Mouse Mortimer, but changed it to Mickey from the suggestion of his wife, Lillian. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents, Elias and Flora Disney, gave him the name Walter Elias Disney. Walt was one of 5 children, four boys and one girl. In 1906, his family packed up and moved to a farm in Marceline, Missouri. By this time, Walt discovered that he was very interested in art and drawing. “More things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since – or are likely to in the future.” (Disney, 7) Later on, the Disney family had to move to Kansas City because Walt's father, Elias, could no longer take care of his farm when he became very ill. Elias owned a newspaper company to make money for his family and had Walt and Roy, one of his other sons deliver the papers. In 1910, Walt's family once again packed up and moved to Chicago. Walter did not want to move with his family because he wanted to finish school, so he stayed behind and worked for his brother Herb through the summer. In fall, he moved back with his family and enrolled at McKinley High School. Walt did have an interest in his classes, but found a love for drawing cartoons which were featured in his school's newspaper.

He is still to this day one of the most famous people to live. Because he has affected millions of people's hearts ranging from young to old, through his creations. The Walt Disney Company today revenues about thirty-five billion U.S. dollars. He was only twenty-two years old when he started his professional career as an artist which lead him to become a great influencer. Today Walt Disney can also be called the quintessential American.
