evidence from the book to support my answer is found on page 235 and it says, “Mike found me, and at first I was frightened of what that would mean. I’ve lived such a tiny life...and I had to go away to sort things out.” This quote shows that Mrs.Winterbottom’s afraid of what Mike would think of her small life or how he would judge her.Another quote is found on page 234 and it says, “maybe Mr.Winterbottom would never forgive her...but she had to admit she was quite unperfect.” This quote shows that Mrs.Winterbottom is scared about how Mr.Winterbottom will react and what he will think of her. Through the process of meeting her son Mrs.Winterbottom also finds herself, who she truly is and makes some changes.
One change is an external one, she changes her appearance. A quote to support my answer is found on page 227 and it says, “Did you notice her hair? She’s cut it. It’s short.” This quote shows one of the changes that Mrs.Winterbottom made after leaving her family to reconcile herself to her past and her true self. Another quote to support my answer can be found on pages 232 and 233 and it says, “...Mrs.Winterbottom looked different. Her hair was not only short but quite stylish. She was wearing lipstick, mascara, and a little blush on her cheeks, and her clothes were altogether unlike anything I had ever seen her in: a white T-shirt,blue jeans, and flat black shoes. Dangling from her ears were thin silver hoop earrings. She looked magnificent, but she did not look like Phoebe’s mother.” This quote shows all the things Mrs.Winterbottom changed and how different she had become. When Mrs.Winterbottom finds herself her personality changes. She goes from being respectable and perfect to imperfect. A quote to show some personality change is on page 227 and it says, “ In the middle of talking, she leaned over and spit on the grass. Spit!,” This quote shows one of the personality changes that
Mrs.Winterbottom Made because normally she is perfect and respectable, but in this quote she is not perfect or respectable. Another quote to support my answer can be found on page 235 and it says, “ George, I know you will think I am not-or was not respectable, but it was before I met you, and I had to give him up for adoption and I could hardly bear to think of it and---.” This quote shows Mrs.Winterbottom changed because in the beginning of the book she was very respectable and perfect, but now she is not respectable anymore and she’s not as perfect as she seemed. Mrs.Winterbottom has gone through many obstacles in her life that causes her to change both internally and externally. After Mike, Mrs.Winterbottom’s son, finds her she ends up having to choose between her family and her son. She ends up going with her son to reunite with her past and who she is again, she changes her appearance to show who she truly is. Along with her change in appearance she also has a personality change. She goes from perfect and respectable to independent and carefree.
For instance, the external force of April’s mother affected the character April in many important ways. To specify, one main change in April is when she is forced to move to the Casa Rosada with her grandmother while Dorothea, her mom, was on tour. This changed her in many ways, first being her new home made her adapt to the different lifestyle outside of Hollywood. One example of this is when she meets Melanie and starts the new school, April loved to wear the fake eyelashes she bought, but the culture was different so Melanie had to trick her to not wear
Miss Hancock is a strange yet charming character, who is classified as both round and dynamic. Miss Hancock is flashy, bizarre, with “too much enthusiasm.” But she is more than simply that. After a discussion on “The Metaphor”, she asks Charlotte talk about her own metaphor on her mother. Here, a different side of her is shown. “She
Good morning/ Afternoon Teacher I am Rachel Perkins And I was asked by The Australian Film Institute to be here to today to talk about my musical. My musical One Night The Moon which was the winner of the Australian Film Institute Award for Best Cinematography in a Non-Feature Film in 2001. I am also here to talk about how distinctive voices are used to show the experiences of others. The voices of Albert and Jim are two characters that give us two different perspectives this is due to their views. Albert one of the characters in my film is an Aboriginal character played by Kenton Pell who is hired by the police as a tracker. Albert is a very deeply spiritual person this gave him a spiritual voice throughout the play but when he get 's kick off the land and banned from the search the gets frustrated which gave him this really emotional voice. This event has a greater meaning which I will elaborate on later and now Onto Jim. Jim is your 1930s white Australian that owns a farm and is going through tough times because of the Great depression. Jim does not allow Albert to find his daughter, This is due to his racist and prejudiced views of black Australians. Jim has an authorial voice because he see’s himself as inferior. Near to the end of

Stockett’s characters are strong, sometimes bold, yet sometimes silent. She adds humor and fun, as well as danger and intrigue in the novel. She has done a great job writing from the point of view of numerous characters. All three of them had their own chapter.Every character has a personality, goals, and a backstory.
If human kind is to conquer the solar system and reach for the stars, we must first start closer to home. In such a situation, creating a colony on our nearest partner celestial body, the Moon, would create an ideal opportunity to learn and explore technical capabilities and human characteristics in space. On board, there would be plenty of science to do, plenty of fun to be had, and plenty of knowledge to learn. However, a lunar base of this kind of complexity can not just be slapped together; it must be designed and detailed beforehand to ensure a safe working environment for those inside and around the lunar base.

In the beginning of the novel, Eliza is portrayed as a young girl who is average and is describe as medi...
The first character we encounter is Mrs. Freeman. She is the wife of Mrs. Hopewell's tenant farmer. She is a very outspoken woman, and "she [can] never be brought to admit herself wrong on any point" (O'Connor 180). Mrs. Freeman is a gossip; she is nosy and she "ha[s] a special fondness for the details of secret infections, hidden deformities, assaults upon children" (O'Connor 183).
All of these characters refashioned themselves into something new for different reasons, and for the most part with different outcomes. They all show though that man is put into situations where he has to change. He has to refashion himself to survive. Sometimes we gain friends. Others we gain materialistic things. Then others we learn about whom we are or want to be and grow even more.
Eliza is depicted to have grown as a person in this play. For instance, one may observe that Eliza’s language has drastically improved. On page 9, Eliza speaks in this way, “ ‘Ow, eez ye-ooa san, is e? Wal, fewd dan y’ de-ooty bawmz…’” (Shaw 9). On page 121, however, she says, “ ‘Perhaps I could make something of him. But I never thought of us making anything of one another...’” (Shaw
To understand the reasons Eliza is able to change and be changed into an almost Cinderella-like character. With Eliza going from and growing and changing through the hardship she faces. In the play, Eliza begins with no confidence and works towards finding a way to reach through learning during her life experiences. Learning through the other characters Eliza meets throughout the play. Eliza grows stronger and shows how she is able to change her ways one can understand how she is able to change and makes these changes by seeing her through poverty, how she is interacting with the other characters in the play, and through the things she learns from the options that are provided to her.
Everyone goes through a time where they wish they were a different person. Many people believe that they can never change who they are. However, transformations occur every day. Emily Bronte proves this true in her novel Wuthering Heights. Throughout the entire plot, numerous characters changed, either in their appearance, their social status, or their personality.
Some can be small, large, take place in a moment, or slowly happen in years. Significant changes and turning points make us who we are. They can make our lives better and make us better people, or they can make our lives worse or take a turn down the wrong path. In most stories, we see the characters change throughout the story. They can start out as the best person ever and turn into a bad one, or start out as a grumpy miser and turn into a kind and loving person. In A Christmas Carol, Scrooge’s life had changed from being a grumpy old man to being a kind hearted fellow. Even Jacob Marley, who had planned the visits to help him become a better person, didn’t expect how good Scrooge would become. He said on page 290, “Scrooge was better than his word. He did it all and infinitely more; and to Tiny Tim, who did not die, he was a second father.” Without significant changes, no one would be who they are
