Volunteering is the act of devoting one’s time and resources to help others. For some volunteering is a way to pass the time, while for others it is a major part of their lives. Either way, a person who volunteers has a will to improve the lives of others, and it has a positive impact on the surrounding community. Undoubtedly volunteering has many favorable results, but there are a few that stand apart and certainly make volunteering a rewarding experience. S.A.F.E is a domestic violence organization that provides housing, counseling, and support to the victims of domestic violence. It provides women and children with a safe haven to escape situations where they are experiencing domestic abuse. This organization is in an unknown location to prevent the violent offender from finding their victim(s).
