Voldemort's intelligence was prominent when he created the horcruxes, the way he manipulated people, and how he could tell if somebody was lying or telling the truth just by looking at them. Voldemort created seven horcruxes to hide his soul which has never been done until he did it. Not only was Voldemort smart with his dispersing of his soul, but he also could speak a language known as parseltongue which is an almost certain mark of a dark lord. The other characters that can speak parseltongue are Dumbledore and Harry Potter. Voldemort's strong sense of leadership and dominance in the world led people to follow his every move and made them easy targets to manipulate. He manipulated people to follow his pure blood supremacy group despite …show more content…
Voldemort took control of the Death Eaters by not letting them into his past. If Voldemort's followers knew he was only a half blood it would have been much harder to control such a large group. Some ways he controlled people include fear, this fear stemmed from his brutality. They feared that if they went against him they were as good as dead. Another way he could control people was his instinct for telling if people were lying to him. Voldemort was a legilimens or a person that studies legilimency. This branch of wizardry is the art of mind reading or being able to extract emotions and memories from other people's minds ("Legilimency"). Voldemort's intelligence not only carried him throughout his life but also took him from being an orphan to one of the most powerful wizards in the wizarding …show more content…
His father figured out his wife was a witch when she continued to cast a love potion on him. She stopped casting the spell on him in the hopes that he would continue to love her. However, when the potion wore off he realized how ugly she was and ran away leaving his pregnant wife. When Merope Gaunt, Voldemort's mother, died at childbirth Voldemort was put into a foster home. Throughout his years in the group home he would repeatedly hurt and torture the other kids. One incident that stood out among the others is one day Voldemort took a couple of kids into a cave and the children were never seen again. Voldemort when he was younger had a talent that was not at first explainable. He could effortlessly move stuff and hurt people with his mind and some simple hand movements. It was not until later in his life when Dumbledore came to visit him to tell him about being a wizard and how he was accepted into Hogwarts that his talent was explained. While studying at Hogwarts his hatred for muggles clearly manifested. His hatred for his father grew to such great lengths that he traveled to his fathers house and killed him and all of the other people in that house. With his complete lack of respect for human life lead him to his goals. His first goal was to eliminate all muggles and half blood wizards to create a "pure" world.

Neither had free will or the option of a normal life, but instead was forced into heroism due to the jealous nature of their enemies after they had unknowingly been given some of the enemy’s power during infancy. Heracles was the son of Zeus and one of his numerous mistresses, Alcmene. In order to give Heracles strength, Alcmene tricked Hera into feeding Heracles her milk. After learning of Zeus’s infidelity, Hera became determined to torture and gain revenge on Heracles in many different ways including forcing him to kill his own children. In comparison, Voldemort unintentionally gave Harry parts of his power after attempting to kill Harry due to Professor Trelawney’s prophecy that stated a newborn would have a power that the Dark Lord does not. Once Harry arrived at Hogwarts, Voldemort attempted time and time again to kill Harry for revenge and to ensure his immortality. Likewise, a man who desperately wanted eternal life also targeted Heracles. The King of Lydia attempted to give Heracles’s life for his immortality while Voldemort sought to kill Harry to become an undefeatable, eternal wizard. Perhaps the strongest characteristic shared between the two is the power and ability of love. Heracles lived a happy life with Megara and his children until Hera intervened, while Harry fell in love with the Weasley family and Hermione. Harry always had irrefutable proof of his mother’s love,
Tom Riddle, AKA Lord Voldemort, was a half-blood prince known to be the most powerful dark wizard of all time. Riddle came from a wealthy muggle father Tom Riddle Senior and mother witch Merope Gaunt, who died shortly after Tom was born. Tom’s father left shortly after Merope found out she was expecting and left him the heir of Slytherin. Tom was raised in a muggle orphanage and when he became of age attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was placed in the Slytherin house, the most powerful house, and was the most talented student to ever attend Hogwarts. After Hogwarts Tom went on to work at Borgin and Burkes for a brief time before he disappeared for many years.

Voldemort, originally named Tom Riddle, was not born an evil soul, but transformed into one due to his curiosity and exploration of the dark arts. He wanted to discover different ways to become immortal and he found power inside the evils of wizardry. This power overcame him and he became completely evil, looking to control the wizarding world, kill all muggles (non-wizarding humans), and reach immortality. Voldemort was able to find his power inside of evil, and darkness. He believes that he isn’t an evil figure, and that he only unleashed the power within himself, “there is no good and evil, there is only power, and those too weak to seek it.” (Rowling.SS). Voldemort has reached a point where he doesn’t see himself as converting to evil, but just unlocking his inner power, which happens to be evil power. Stevenson’s novel touches upon these aspects of tampering and experimenting with the human identity, especially evil. Those that choose to delve deeper into understanding their darker side, will eventually be encapsulated by that
Just to quickly run through the two previous books; Harry Potter is a wizard, who’s parents were killed by the worst dark wizard ever known. The reason why Harry Potter is still around, is because Lord Voldemort failed to kill Harry. His spell hit Harry, but then backfired on Voldemort taking all of his powers with him. Harry is so famous for two things. Withstanding the powers of Lord Voldemort, and, taking him back in to the underworld in hiding. In the first book, Harry receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He’s eventually allowed to go, and spends the next six months there learning magic, getting into trouble, and trying to solve mysteries of his past, and the school. In the second book, Harry goes back to his second year at Hogwarts, and gets into more trouble, figures out many astonishing mysteries and learns loads more magic. His best friends in the two books consist of Ron and Hermione (two of his fellow wizard students) and Hagrid the gamekeeper who was expelled from Hogwarts but allowed a job as the gamekeeper.
Adolf Hitler, a very-well respected man who dreamed of conquering the whole world to revenge for all the shame Germany got after World War I and building a ‘Greater Germany’. So, he became the leader of about 90 million people; the Nazi regime. So, how did he earn that much of power to be so authoritative? He knew how to approach people’s heart with his persuasive orations. Furthermore, he knew the good of his people and he knew where to put those people. Plus, he set his goal and he achieved it; for his country. Even though his idea to start the war was very foolish, but looking at how he led his own people, Hitler was an eminently successful leader.
The important event of him knowing he was a Half-Blood is important because if that did not happen he would think he was crazy. Why? you may ask. Well because of one simple reason. Mist. That is the answer. Mist is a powerful thing that can obscure the vision of mortals ( People that are “normal” ) What it does is that it changes the things that people see and modifies into their own vision. For example, If Percy Jackson were to take out riptide
When Harry Potter became an infant Voldemort try to kill him. Voldemort ended up killing Harry Potter’s parents. Voldemort lost all of his power after this event occurred and he tried to find ways to get power.
Harry demonstrates this one very well. During the first book, he is going after Voldemort already. He is set on Voldemort so no one else has to die. Harry is only a child yet he is willing to go after one of the most powerful wizards ever. It’s not easy at all and even though there were moments when he wanted to give up, Harry always pulled through. Harry kept trying and trying to figure out how to end Voldemort’s life for pretty much the whole series. When he is told he needs to find four Horcruxes, he ends his schooling to go after the Horcruxes so he can end Voldemort’s
Harry Potter is known as a Hero and people look up to him for doing the right thing, even when it seemed he was doing the wrong thing. Risk taking, Courage, Loyalty, Responsibility, Respect, Love, and Friendship, these are all the factors that are taught in the Harry Potter series. My
Harry Potter starts off slow, but gets very interesting near the end. In the beginning, you meet the Dursleys, Harry’s aunt, uncle, and their son Dudley. Then you learn that Harry’s parents were witches, and that they were destroyed by a evil wizard. A good witch, Albus Dumbeldoor, sends Harry to the Dursleys, because they’re his only remaining family. The Dursleys however, hated Harry and his family, so Harry was mistreated for years. He was forced to live in a cuborrod under the stairs. He had to watch as the fat, stuck up Dudley got whatever he wanted, and then usually broke whatever it was he got. Then one day Harry got a letter.
Tom Marvolo Riddle from J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series had stored parts of his soul into different inanimate objects called horcruxes, which caused him to lose control of himself and become the infamous, Lord Voldemort. This gave him the ability to live even though his physical body was gone and his soul continued to thrive in his set of carefully selected objects, patiently waiting for the right time to strike.
