In this theory, people kill because one was living their lifestyle through violent acts as normal behavior. Most poor neighborhoods have higher chances of committing crimes, especially, knowing that the behavior of the actions is reflected towards survival. In my opinion the story The Outsiders is not timeless because kids these days can’t relate to the characters in the story The Outsiders. Kids today aren’t riding in rodeos, roll drunks, jump smaller kids, walk to a stranger's house, or get in a stranger’s car, also they get arrested at the age of 10. Saying the statement “The Outsiders is a “timeless” book “ is an invalid statement. So, Kids today often don’t relate to The Outsiders anymore in many ways.

The Outsiders is about the life of a 14-year-old boy. The book tells the story of Ponyboy “Curtis” and his struggles with right and wrong in a society in which he believes that he is an outsider. Ponyboy and his two brothers, Darrel (Darry), who is 20, and Sodapop, who is 16, have recently lost their parents in an automobile accident. Pony and Soda are allowed to stay under Darry's guardianship as long as they all behave themselves. The boys are greasers, a class term that refers to the young men on the East Side, the poor side of town. The greasers' rivals are the Socs, short for Socials, who are the "West-side rich kids."
This book showed the struggle between rich and poor. The two main groups of the story were the Socs and the greasers. The Socs are in the upper class while the greasers are the poor ones that dislike the Socs because they have more money, better cars, and act like they are better than the greasers. The Outsiders is a good story by S.E. Hinton that shows the struggles of growing up Hinton did a fine job with the character development, the plot, and the theme with a few flaws.

When the news reports a shooting, I start to panic and worry for the victims involved. I don’t typically start to wonder about how long the shooter was active and for how many minutes, so when reading the FBI Active Shooter report I was shocked to have found out most shooting happen within minutes. The report states “In 64 incidents where the duration of the incidents could be ascertained, 44 (69.0%) of 64 incidents ended in 5 minutes or less, with 23 ending in 2 minutes or less.” Leaving many civilians in dangerous situations because by the time a law enforcement officers arrives the shooting will stereotypically be over. Specifically the nurture side you can bring up children or even adults who look at things in the media or play games and become violent because of the things they see and because they want to do what they see. They are influenced by the violent acts they see which are bad because they continue the acts of violence. The things they see around them and see through the media turn them into the violent people we hear of in the world.
