Religion is a specific important set of beliefs and practices that aids the purpose of creating rules and values in a society. When studying various religions, it becomes apparent that the principles taught are morally fair. Throughout the era of human history, religion has been a major creator to war, bloodshed, hatred, and intolerance. Most people, from reviewing past events, would say that religions are violent. Each major religion at some point in history addresses violence in some way, and a majority condemn such inhumanity. People who follow a certain religion, should follow the rules and regulations that the religion offers, so that should mean world peace, right? For example, Eve, is seen by some Christians to be disobedient to masculine God and man, and to many a generalized symbol of womanhood that must be obedient and subject to discipline, while others disagree with this understanding. (Genesis 2-3) The Christian faith is overly misused, especially when it was employed to underwrite violence. The most familiar acts of violence in Christianity is the Book of Revelation. Although this part of the bible is for the good of people those left behind and are a not a part of the religion have a rude awakening. “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Rev. 6:8)” Christianity nowadays is not as violent as it was during the dark ages, the violent acts shown throughout history would be classified as propagating faith. In other words, if you do not follow, bad things will come.
