Promoting intelligence can come and be developed from several ways that can be found in life. 80% of intelligent people actually happened to be gamers as well. Since technology is developing really fast nowadays, it is not impossible to play video games that are mainly all about sports, or educational in another word. Most people believe that video games should be banned because of their violence, bad languages and habits, and a waste of time. It is my belief that video games are the number one main source for intelligence. The advantages of video games could help us physically, mentally, and therefore able to reflect to our society.
The first indication that video games actually could help people to be more intelligent is on their physical being. Most video games have a huge impact on the body; games can actually make the player and be on the characters, that he or she is playing, life making the player’s body to sweat, shiver, or emotionally affected. Likewise, Wii, which is a gaming console that gives a player the ability to play using physical motions, is another evidence that video games are able to make people intelligent. The most common games that are found in Wii are like yoga classes, doing sports with live steam competing other players world wide, and regular games with additional motion controls that force you to move around.
The second indication that video games actually help people to be more intelligent is on their mental being. That is probably the main affect of video games. Games have puzzles, and other choices that make a player use his brain to think. Strategy games such as Age of Empires and Age of Mythology have taught me planning and resource management, as well as a great deal about the history and culture of human civilizations. Shooters such as Counter-Strike and Unreal Tournament have taught me how to quickly make decisions while under stress, and have enhanced my hand-eye coordination and spatial orientation.
