In these times we hear a lot on the news and from our friends and family concerning what is going on in our society, and we don’t think about what if it’s at your front door. Life does throw out different things but who’s to say which one will come, our door step we will never no until we received it. In this story what I have read is that Carla was going over to her boyfriend house and now by what I was reading this is not the first time that Carla has done this. Carla had to feel like that it was safe enough for her to do what she decided to do, now as she had made a decision to run over to his house not knowing that trouble was around the corner waiting for her she felt that everything would be alright even though she …show more content…
And Hentig’s went as far saying because a woman has less physical strength than a man and because men commit most violent crimes, women are more likely to suffer at the hands of a male aggressor. The aggressor is usually known to the victim (a former spouse or an acquaintance). How does these theories relate to Carla’s case of victimization:
These things that Hentig’s argued makes a lot of sense especially when talking about women and their strength against a male person, Carla did not know that her attacker was right around the corner waiting for her. I believed that his theory is right because our strength cannot over power a male and the attacker had to come up behind her are he was waiting until she stop for rest in order to attack her and he had to put his hand over her mouth so that she could not be heard and he drag her behind some trees like the story is saying. According to you, which victimization theory is most relevant to this case and why:
Here is something to go with this story by Robert Frost, from Mending Wall he is explains

In considering these factors, attention should be given to risk oriented versus safety oriented lifestyles, a person’s social support network or isolation and proximity to socially deviant behaviors or groups. These are good things for a tool that can be used when trying to help others that have going through victimization and they are still here to tell their story and there are other that did not make it but they still have their families that can tell their story in order to help someone else so that they may know how to cope with what has happen to them. Conclusion:
We must pay attention to our surroundings and who we are hanging with because criminals don’t have a sign on them saying I am a criminal, we must keep our eyes open and those that have been victimize we need to keep encouraging them that they will overcome what has happen to them and their not along. Strength is a human trait that can be lost and given up to hopelessness just as easily as it was gained. Giovanna Sienna fought through unimaginable struggles her whole life, but her unwavering strength guided her through her life. Giovanna Costa Pontillo Siena from Laurie Fabian’s book Elizabeth Street is portrayed as the stories strongest person. Her determination to get her beloved daughter, Angelina, back and her lack of fear of the kidnappers who blackmailed her for money, reinforce the conception that Giovanna’s tenacity was unable to be matched. She had connections to powerful people in powerful positions, which help her gain a foothold on getting through to the kidnappers. Her love for her family, primarily her daughter, kept her constantly searching for her daughter and any way to get

When Little Birdie received the letter she immediately went to visit him but unfortunately, when she arrived at his home he died.
Both authors explore the progressive attitudes and how these were received during the time period of both Fitzgerald and Robert. Frost presents this idea in the poem, ‘Mending Wall’. The poem is about two neighbours who every year go to the end of the garden to meet and build a wall together. However, one neighbour is confused as why there needs to be a wall as there is nothing that needs to be divided or prevented from escaping or entering. This neighbour begins to challenge the other neighbour, ‘why do they make good neighbours?’

According to RAINN, (2009) approximately 10 per cent of all victims of sexual assault and abuse are adult and juvenile males. In terms of the nature of assault, real figures include a compendium of reported incidents ranging from unwanted sexual touching to forced penetration. To qualify this statement, it must be understood that the percentage does not reflect a vast number of crimes that go unreported due to issues that will be discussed in the present paper.
Violence against women is a gender based violence because it is targeted specifically to women just for the fact that they are a woman, this can be due to many reasons like the attacker feeling empowered because they think of women as being the weak gender. The United Nations advocates against violence towards women in their Declaration on the Elimination of Violence against Women. They annotate that violence against women is a “manifestation of historically unequal power relations between men and women” It is something that happens more often that many people realize. Many times this type of violence happens behind close doors and goes to the extremes that many of the victims would not speak
Throughout the years it has recorded that woman now have definitely been doing crimes as much as what men have done in the past years. In an article about The Criminal Justice System and Woman both Freda Alder and Rita Simons talk about theories and facts about the woman committing crimes that we see on TV’s, newspapers, and interviews. They discuss in depth about the reasoning on why woman are now starting to do crimes and murders as bad as men have done over the past years.

In his poem 'Mending Wall', Robert Frost presents to us the ideas of barriers between people, communication, friendship and the sense of security people gain from barriers. His messages are conveyed using poetic techniques such as imagery, structure and humour, revealing a complex side of the poem as well as achieving an overall light-hearted effect. Robert Frost has cleverly intertwined both a literal and metaphoric meaning into the poem, using the mending of a tangible wall as a symbolic representation of the barriers that separate the neighbours in their friendship.
The "Mending Wall" is the opening poem in Robert Frost's second book entitled, North of Boston. The poem portrays the casual part of life as seen by two farmers mending their wall. A great number of people might look at "Mending Wall" and see a simple poem about a simple aspect of life. If this is truly the case then why are so many drawn to the poem and what is found when more than a superficial look is spent on Robert Frost's work? The "Mending Wall" is an insightful look at social interactions as seen in the comparison of the repeated phrases and the traditional attitudes of the two farmers.
I have so many remarkable family members, friends, mentors, and teachers who make up and contribute to my life. My story is a compilation of the stories of my loved ones. Writing about my story means writing about the people who I love and who love me. Also, I think my life is worth recording because through my life, I have touched the lives of others, and others have touched mine. I have experiences that changed my life and the lives of others that are worth reading about. I’m the sister of two adopted boys. I’ve spent countless hours at a local children’s home. I’ve loved. I’ve encouraged. I’ve been the source of someone’s
Mrs. X can not be the stronger because Miss Y clearly shows more strength by saying nothing. Miss Y shows this strength by simply sitting there enduring Mrs. X's accusations and abuse. She sat there and faced it all when she could have easily matched Mrs. X's actions. Miss Y could have refused to listen to Mrs. X's accusations, or she could have made a scene by responding to Mrs. X's abuse. Instead of showing signs weakness, Miss Y chose to say nothing because there really was nothing that could be said to make the situation any better. By choosing to do so, Miss Y proves that she is the stronger.
