Recommended: What does the veterans day mean

I dedicate this speech to all of the nation's veterans and whom who sacrificed their lives for us. Who do you consider a veteran? A veteran to me is a person who has experienced serving in a military. We need to appreciate them for their sacrifices. We owe them, but what?
Veterans don’t even know me or my family but they are still sacrificing their time for us. We should make them feel good and show them how much we appreciate them not just for today but for the end of our lives.

Veterans Day was originally called Armistice Day. On this day we should appreciate them more because this day was officially created to honor the living soldiers

Similar ceremonies occurred earlier in England and France, where an "unknown soldier” was buried in each nation’s highest place of honor (I later researched and found out it was in England, Westminster Abbey; in France, the Arc de Triomphe). These memorial gestures all took place on November 11, giving universal recognition to the celebrated ending of World War I hostilities at 11 a.m., November 11, 1918 (the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month).
