The first type of communication I observed during my placement was a form of verbal communication, I observed a face to face conversation between a member of staff and pupil about how the pupil was feeling that day, the purpose of this was to encourage a relationship between the member of staff and student this allowed the pupil to feel comfortable talking to a member of staff about their wellbeing and would allow the member of staff to take appropriate action if it was required.
The second example of verbal communication I observed was the teacher redirecting a pupil when they were of task. The pupil was continuously talking instead of completing their work, the teacher acted firstly by asking the pupil to remain quiet however the child continued …show more content…

It was led by the senior members of the school this included the principal and the 2 vice principals who all contributed during the meeting. The members of staff discussed matters concerning the different year groups within the school. Other members of staff also contributed by providing different ideas that promoted a better environment for the children. The purpose of this was to negotiate and coordinate with a range of other collages to explain different ideas to improve the college this also improved the exchanging of information with other teachers.
The final form of verbal communication I noticed was a group discussion about the different senses the body has. The purpose of this was to enhance all the children’s confidences in speaking in front of people; it also enhanced their abilities to listen to what other people had to say through turn taking. The purpose of this was to outline what each child needed to bring with them to go on the trip it also explained the purpose of the trip and an itinerary of the day this allowed for the parent or guardian to be fully informed about the trip and what specifically their child would need to bring with them, so they would be fully prepared for the trip. This is beneficial for the relationship between the teacher and parent/guardian as it allows for them to know exactly what their child is going to be doing when they are out of
