We always hear the phrase "cigarette smoking kills", but do you ever wonder if vaping does too? First lets discuss the term "vaping". Vaping from the word vapor or vaporizing which means heating liquids to create vapor. So let me start off by clarifying the technology being used in these devices called vape. Vape is made up of various metals such as brass, nickel, zinc and alloy. These vapes also have different parts that function altogether to make it work, kind of like a human body. First we have the mod, the mod is the main body of the vape. It is where the atomizer and the battery are connected. Mods have different types such as pen, tube, and box. These mods vary in sizes and exerts current to the atomizer. They come with different wattage
It was a bone-chilling winter morning in Bavaria. My alarm clock rang, and I slapped it to snooze. Oh no, I was not getting up that day. I had just finished the worst school week of my life. If we zoom back to that time two years ago, I was a 14 year old foreign exchange student in southern Germany. Bullying from the kids in school had made my homesickness unbearable. But that’s not all. I eventually became so anxious throughout my exchange that I chewed all the skin around my nails, gained 15 pounds, and finally, had to book my flight back home January 1st.
Electronic Cigarette’s are a healthier alternative to traditional cigarettes. Compared to smoking tobacco, a vapor is a much better alternative. Cigarettes have thousands of chemicals in just one cigarette. E-cigs just have four ingredients, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerine, artificial flavors, and nicotine.
For those who smoke cigarettes and will continue to do so, making a switch to smoking e-cigarettes would be a safer alternative. Goniewicz is a cancer researcher in the Department of Health Behavior at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York (Reuters, 2014). He and his colleagues conducted two studies of secondhand smoke exposure to e-cigarette vapors in a laboratory and the results were published in Nicotine and Tobacco Research (Reuters, 2014). In the first study they had an electronic machine that generated the vapors in an enclosed space and then they proceeded to measure the amount of nicotine and other potentially harmful gasses and particle that were in the air along with carbon monoxide that was generated. In the second study they used five men who smoked cigarettes on a regular basis and also smoked e-cigarettes. Each man entered a room and smoked his usual...
First off, “vaping” refers to the practice of using an e-cigarette or other vaporizer to inhale a heated, flavored aerosol vapor of propylene glycol, glycerin, flavorings, and (usually) nicotine. The general principle of an e-cigarette or vape is that a heating element heats up the e-liquid, turning it into vapor, which the user can then inhale. Vaporizing devices, or “vapes” come in a variety of configurations and makes. Some look just like regular cigarettes and the user has little or no control over how much vapor the device produces or what flavorings they can purchase. Some give the user lots of control and allow almost limitless customization. This means that depending on the flavors used and the vape type, the amount of vapor inhaled,
Throughout time there has been a connection with drugs and music. In the past, most music was very big with drugs, especially psychedelic drugs. Many people think that this can help musicians with their creativity. Well, as you will find in this speech, you will see what the drugs do to the victims, how you know that these musicians are taking drugs , and the history about musicians in the 50’s to present day.
There is a new trend hitting the market known as e-cigarettes, or “vaping.” Many people believe that e-cigarettes are better than traditional cigarettes, but research shows just how unhealthy and harmful e-cigarettes are for everyone. The FDA has not yet decided if e-cigarettes should be regulated like tobacco products. E-cigarettes are marketed to help people quit smoking and live a healthier nonsmoking life. E-cigarettes are meant to help break the habit of smoking, but why are there so many “toxic chemicals” (Gilger) in the vapor? Is this new invention to help people quit smoking or just another way for tobacco companies to get richer?
Have you ever wondered what happens when you inhale the liquid from a vape? Many people that vape think it's a better alternative than smoking and actual cigarette, or they think it's safer than cigarettes. Vaping actually has many dangers that come with it, like it can cause the body to become weaker in fighting infections, scar the lungs, or can blow up in your face. And though it might be way safer than real cigarettes, there are many things in those vapes that can cause health dangers in the body. Though it's still early in the vape life, many researches have been done to prove of these dangerous things that can cause harm to the inside and outside of the body.
Vaping is not often considered to be harmful to the lungs because the vape releases vapor and not smoke. There have been many inconclusive research studies but there have been a few recent findings that prove that in reality, vaping is extremely harmful to the lungs. The nicotine in the “nicotine, whatever its source, can harm lung tissue” and nicotine is an ingredient of most vapes. There are certain styles of vape juice that does not have nicotine however
Introduction I want you all to ask yourselves how far you’re willing to go to be the best at the thing you do most. For some people, the choice they must make is going to be a very big one with very real side effects. I’m sure many of you watch professional sports and the Olympics. I’m a very big fan of sports and I researched this topic because I find it incredibly interesting how far these athletes are willing to go to be the best at their craft. Although I have never done them, I passively gain knowledge about performance-enhancing drug usage in sports and the effects it has on the body every day.
An electronic cigarette, commonly referred to as an e-cigarette or vape pen, is simply a battery-operated device that releases aerosolized nicotine for inhalation. The device electronically heats a liquid, referred to as e-juice, which is vaporized from heating coils within the device that produces the aerosol that is inhaled. The e-juice contains nicotine and propylene glycol in addition to other chancy additives or flavors. Depending on the brand, each nicotine cartridge is designed to produce about 250-400 puffs. This is equivalent to 1-2 packs of traditional

Lighting up a cigarette, and you may as well pick a coffin…or an urn. Cigarettes can lead to many different harmful factors ranging from death to living with a contraption to stick in your throat to speak, or even losing fingers, toes and legs. A person can lose more than body parts, but the family and loved ones can also experience loss from the death of the smoker or a parent having to watch their teenager or adult children’s health slowly spiral downwards.

One of the newest trends in America is an alternative to smoking called “Vaping”. There are many advocacy groups that are currently petitioning and fighting legislature that would make this new trend illegal. Many claims have been made stating that vaping is more dangerous than smoking traditional big brand tobacco. There are also arguments that there have not been enough studies to prove that vaping is less harmful than conventional smoking methods, which is not the case however. Vaping has been around since the early 1960s and has proven to be healthier than its tobacco cousin, the cigarette. Currently the United States Government is trying to pass a law that would ban the production, distribution, and sale of many vape products. This ban would make it so the big brand tobacco companies would once again be the number one source for nicotine. I strongly believe that vaping is a safe alternative method to smoking that will reduce many medical risks and diseases associated
Everyone knows that cigarettes are horrible for your health and increase your risks of cancer. Not too long ago there was a big advertisement for e-cigarettes also known as vaping. It was advertised to be a healthier alternative and comparable to a nicotine patch to help you quit smoking. Many people began to question this new form of smoking and if it was really a safer alternative. Even though vaping is a safer alternative than smoking, vaping is not harmless because you are still getting nicotine, inhaling poison and risking a weaker immune system.
