...iggest question after reading the story was, “What about now? Is she still fully sober? What does she feel towards her addiction?” Drew Barrymore is such a famous actress and has been through many more things since writing this book. She was only fourteen when she wrote the book, so I would like to know how she feels now that she is older. I would like to know if she still struggles with the same issues.

Ever since the fall, mankind has had a voracious desire for power and influence. People witness this desire within the walls of the Capitol Building when the media exposes backroom deals. It also springs up whenever a politician uses a podium to persuade people that he makes the world work. Politicians possibly rely on persuasion because they crave the power. However, persuasion is a manipulative, unBiblical tactic of forcing others to accept a point of view by all means necessary.
Fifty Shades of Grey, is one of UK’s best-selling novels, and is written by the famously known author E.L James. For my “How to do” speech my goal was to share with the class an interesting and informative way to learn something new. Due to the speeches time limit, I knew I needed to be well prepared. I wanted to be less nervous before and during my speech. While presenting I was nervous, but I didn’t really have time for these feelings to sink in because I was focused on the information I wanted to share with the audience. I enjoyed presenting in the second group of speeches so I could see my peers different types of speaking style. The audience seemed alert and interested in my topic which made it a little bit easier for me to speak, because there weren’t any distractions in the room from people not paying attention. I think part of that was because
Everyone is born a certain way, with his or her own gender. Gender can affect everything in our lives. A show I enjoy to watch, “I Am Cait,” is televised on E news. The show is about a celebrity I admire, Caitlyn Marie Jenner originally known as William Bruce Jenner. Jenner, an American television personality and retired athletic champion is now a transgender woman. Caitlyn confessed, “People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life--it is part of me. That female side is part of me. That’s who I am.” Jenner is significant to me because she demonstrates her leader personality, bravery, dynamic, determined and independent status.
Summer has come to an end and school back in full swing. One is ready to crush the challenges facing a 5th grader. The last bell for recess sounds. Young boys race outside to enjoy the sun’s warmth. Name calling and horse-playing around immediately begins as they plan their weekend fun. Challenging each other to execute silly acts or daring one another to flirt with the girls across the playground. One yells out if you don’t jump from the top you are a sissy. Then one hears ask Julie out first. Recess is almost over when another one yells out he won’t…he’s a gay sissy. Silence has now blanketed the playground and one could hear a pin drop. Saved by the bell it was time to line up and head back to class. The final bell of the day
