Part A: What is vaccination?
A vaccination protects not just humans but also animals from all different types of diseases and viruses. Each vaccination is made for a specific disease or virus. This prevents you from receiving the disease which could make you sick and possibly kill you (Public Heath Agency of Canada, 2014).

As the vaccination goes into your body a slight part of the virus (such as the germs) are also injected, this means that each vaccination you receive makes your immune system become stronger as it has to create a stronger defence system, which is also know as antibodies and antigens. In other words, as the pathogens (The bacteria that causes the disease) enters the body the antibodies defend them. It also means that your body becomes partly immune to that specific sickness. In my opinion I believe that it should be mandatory for all citizens to be treated with vaccinations, although there could be some allowances. First of all, making it compulsory for everyone will mean that not only the more fortunate people but the poor could get vaccinated and be protected from the virus and/or disease. This makes it fair for all citizens no matter how much they can afford.

However, I believe that it should not be mandatory under some circumstances. For example, if someone is extremely sick and in hospital, there body is definitely not equipped to handle the pathogens from the vaccination into their immune system as it is already weakened by the current sickness he/she has (History of vaccines, 2014).

Overall it is definitely safer to get vaccinations to prevent receiving that particular sickness, especially with children. There are some serious side effects about getting a vaccination which may be why some people choose not to be vaccinated. The effects relate to humans mentally and physically.
