Atlanta and Miami are both amazing places for vacation because they both have great entertainment, culture, and food. Miami and Atlanta are very different because Miami has many more attractions, an amazing nightlife, and beautiful beaches and Atlanta has a small amount of attractions, nice nightlife, and good weather.
Atlanta and Miami are both beautiful cities with amazing entertainment. For example, Miami has more of a city lifestyle that expresses entertainment through theaters and clubs. In Atlanta is more of a country lifestyle and they show their entertainment by having festivals and bonfires. Miami and Atlanta celebrate their cultures similarly, but differently. For example, when I vacationed in Miami, they had a lot of museums and art deco districts such as History Miami and Miami Art Deco Distinct showing the history of their city. When I vacationed in Atlanta, they celebrated their culture with historical places such as the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site, which is where a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. is built in the middle of a fountain and Underground...
7. Nature: Orlando is simply of the most beautiful places to live. It has great scenery, ample natural reserves, plenty of parks and green spaces and of course the entire atlantic coast.
I have been to Florida a billion times, but there are only two places that I normally visit. Sanibel Island and Destin. Traveling to Sanibel Island is almost like a tradition for my family because every year we try to go down there. My grandparents first went to Sanibel with my whole family (cousins and all) about 15 years ago and ever since then, it has been our family’s main “vacation spot”. I have gone to Sanibel almost every year, but last year I also went to Destin. Now the main reason we decided to go there as well is because we wanted to travel somewhere nearby the panhandle of Florida. The water and beaches are also very contrasting in comparison to Sanibel. Sanibel’s beaches even had heaps of sea shells going out into the water. The sand is also more dense than that of Destin. Even Sanibel’s water is darker and more cloudy, so it was crazy to see Destin’s water so clear! The beach (which is called Emerald Cove, where I stayed at) had sand that was so white and soft it
You can see that, why New Orleans is called Festival capital of USA. Though all the festival are for your enjoyment, but some of them are very popular. They are –
New Orleans was, and is still, known for their diverse atmosphere due to African, Caribbean, and European influences. The city’s richness in culture and history is what attracts tourists, from all over the country, to New Orleans. There is not only diversity when comparing New Orleans to other cities but also diversity between the different areas of New Orleans as well. Some of these locations include the French Quarter, City Park, and the Aquarium of Americas. The French Quarter consists of the city’s best restaurants which features cuisines from all over the world, a European style marketplace, many museums and theaters to display art pieces of different cultures, and...
To any one wondering what it’s like to live in Miami, the simple answer would have to be marvelous. Needless to say, it’s impossible to describe what it’s like to live in such an eminent city with just one word. Miami is famous for its beautiful beaches and its Art Deco architecture but most importantly it considered the melting pot of the United States. Living in such a diverse and illustrious city certainly has its perks. The atmosphere is vibrant. The weather is wonderful year round. The city is alive while the suburbs are roaring and growing.
The city is home to the Atlanta Braves as well as the Atlanta Hawks. Both of these teams are professional teams that play in the city as well as around the nation.
Florida is known for having soft white sand beaches and great waves. So for the surfing enthusiasts, you might be interested in riding the waves in places like Cocoa Beach, considered to be the small wave capital of the world. Or you could also visit Destin, Florida, and you may also try fishing which is popular in this area, being so close to the Gulf of Mexico known to
...are a subtopic marshland that are home to thousands of wildlife and plants. Miami is home to tropical weather which includes hot and humid summers, and warm winters. With the blessing of warm tropical weather does play in the fact that Hurricanes can occur. Usually Hurricane season runs from the beginning of June through November, but they can also occur beyond that time frame.
The culture of New Orleans is at its best during Mardi Gras. However so are hotels, so if you're planning on making the trip and staying in downtown New Orleans, make reservations a few months in advance. Despite the French Quarters old historic appeal, there are many excellent hotels to stay at. Well, this is how they do it down in "Nawlins", so if you want a bite of culture and fun, Mardi Gras is the place for you. It's just one of those things you have to visit once, take a few friends and family and a note to remind you that you have to go back eventually. Be sure to make it there a few days before the actual Mardi Gras day, to get a feel for it all, b/c after that, it's gone for another year. Treat yourself to something different this year, something fun, something wild, treat yourself to Mardi Gras. Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!! ( Let the good times role)
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. I have visited many places throughout the United States, however, none are as exciting as Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, there are many places to go and sights to see. For example, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone mountain Park, and the Atlanta Braves Stadium, are all in or near the city of Atlanta.
Similar to the Mardi Gras festival of New Orleans, the Haitian carnival features exuberant parades, live music, dancing in the streets and all night celebrations. Beside this festivity, another festival native to Haiti is Rara festival, a peasant celebration.
...nd in very different parts of the country. My experience points to the fact that one is not better than the other…simply different. Both the city and the country have great things to offer, and they both have disadvantages; it all depends on what a person is looking for in their life.
What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word Florida? Warm weather, Disney World, the ocean, vacation, beautiful beaches? What about endless cockroaches and lizards, relentless humidity, and delusional conspirators everywhere? (Hsiung). Florida is not as perfect as most people believe, in fact, you have a 1 in 31 chance of becoming a victim of a property crime in Florida (Crime Rates for Florida). The high crime rate, overpopulation, dangerous wildlife, and weather conditions are the four leading reasons to avoid permanently residing in Florida.
When the word Miami is said, just about everyone begins to picture palm trees, the beach, and a variety of different people. Miami is frequently referred to as the “Tropical Playground” as well as the “Celebrity Playground”, both titles implying only a time for fun. The mass tourism that occurs because of this image of paradise and glamour is without a doubt a major factor in the city’s money flow, crime rate, and culture (Clery). The city of Miami has marketed itself in such a way that it is becoming more influential in the globalized world than ever before. This can be seen with the increased connections to Latin America, Europe, and the other states of the country. Miami’s image of paradise beaches and luxury living call out to people of very high income. The increased amount of people moving into the city with high income has had many effects on the rest of the population. Celebrities are also making their way to Miami and are contributors to the images and perceptions of this city. As a former resident of Miami, the meaning of place will be explored from a personal view and from the view of my non high-income family.
