The story all began in 1986. A baby was born. This baby was an ordinary baby with a future ahead of him. His name was Usain Bolt. Usain was a heck of a baby who was very bright. As he started going to school, not many people liked him because he was bright but shy and eventually wasn’t as bright. Usain kept his problem of not being wanted, away from his parents and because of that, the problem kept getting worse and worse every year. As time passed, Usain was now in grade 3 and got use to the bullying and unwantedness and lived in his own world. Usain had his own imaginary friends which he knew nobody can see, but that didn’t bother him.
When Usain talked to these imaginary friends, he fell in a whole different world not knowing what’s going

on in reality, so Usain would share his personal life with these imaginary friends named Boing, Jigglypuff and Funk in class and would have full on conversations with them and would be laughed at by everyone. It was near the end of the school year that the school had announced there was going to be a track and field day. Usain loved running and that to any type. It was his passion. He didn’t care if he got last, he just loved the feeling of crossing the finish line. Eventually, the day had come. It was track and field day and Usain couldn’t wait. The first event the grade 3 boys go to is 400-meter run. All the boys lined up and Usain was so passionate. The teacher said “In 3..2..1.GO”. Usain just thought about his amazing imaginary friends and the future he has planned ahead with his friends. Everyone was at the finish line and Usain was halfway done.
Usain finally made it to the finish line and was more than happy, but that moment was ruined as all the boys were laughing at him. They were laughing at the fact that Usain was so happy but got last. Usain tried not to let that bother him but he couldn’t resist it and balled his eyes out. The wonderful teacher named Mrs. Thomson comforted him and Usain felt better. The next event they had to go to was another running event and this time, Usain wasn’t as excited. They all stood at the starting line of the race and ran in “3..2..1.GO” and as soon as Usain took his first step to run a boy named Paul tripped him and laughed. Usain was sick of this and balled his eyes out again and Paul and Usain were sent to the office. The principal spoke to Usain and Paul but Usain knew Paul was going to continue bullying him so he still had a frown and didn’t turn it upside down. Usain ate dinner, read a book and eventually it was time for him to go to sleep. Boing, Jigglypuff, and Funk were fairies. Usain saw three little bright lights flying around telling Usain to come towards them and Usain screamed “I’M COMING!”. The three bright lights were Boing, Jigglypuff, and Funk. Usain earlier and had an idea. They told Usain “Follow us, we have a surprise for you”. Usain did as told but with his eyes close as they made him fly too. The three fairies said with excitement “you can open your eyes now”. Usain anxiously opened his eyes and was fascinated! It was the world he had always dreamed of He was the happiest boy on earth, but that wasn’t why the fairies bring him there. The fairies told him to follow them. They eventually stopped at an odd tree with a hole and a tap in it. They poured something in a glass and told Usain to drink it. Usain asked what it was and they replied “you will see”. Usain confusingly drank it and it was the tastiest thing he had drank! Usain said to the fairies “thanks for everything, you guys are the best” and the fairies just stood in silence with a smile on their face. Two minutes later, Usain felt a boost in his body and began to wonder why. He asked the fairies and they replied saying “Usain, run”. Usain wondered why they said that but he ran. He was shocked! He was so fast! The fairies exclaimed, “This special drink boosts your speed by a lot”. Usain thanked the fairies and woke up the next day in his bed. He knew it wasn’t a dream. Usain was ready for day 2 of track and field with a huge smile and all the boys especially Paul were confused.
They had to run a 200-meter race and Usain was more than ready. As the teacher said “GO” Usain was already first. Usain ran and ran and was eventually at the finish line! Usain was so proud of himself for getting first. Paul was awfully shocked and Usain looked at him and smiled. Usain went up to Paul and said “I guess my imaginary friends were useful after all. You try finding yourself

African-American players are often negatively affected due to the prevalence of racism in the town. Ivory Christian, for instance, is a born-again Christian with aspirations to be a famous evangelist, but he is unable to pursue his dream due to his commitment to the football team. Because of this, the townspeople have unrealistic expectations of him and assume that he will put all his time and energy into football. Furthermore, there is a greater pressure on him to succeed...
In sports, there is no shortage of black success stories. Meanwhile, two black men of prominence in Odessa (who are not athletes) fell from grace. Willie Hammond Jr. (the first black city councilor and county commissioner) and Laurence Hurd (a minister and desegregation supporter) were glimmers of hope for the black community that were both snuffed out. Hammond was arrested on charges of arson conspiracy and perjury and Hurd is in prison for burglary and robbery, leaving a hole in the morale of the black community that was not repaired. These losses, combined the with negative news of black people circulated via media, made the possibility of succeeding in a white man’s world inconceivable. Yet, there is no shortage of black success stories in sports, like Michael Jordan and Bo Jackson; in every area that is not a “rich man’s sport”, black athletes dominate. To the poor children on the Southside, there is something very alluring about the “Cinderella stories” of men from poor black neighborhoods rising to prominence through sports. Based on these examples, there seem to only be two paths for a black teen to take: criminal or athlete. Many of these teens aspire to be sports stars and depend on nothing else because there is nothing else. Some may become the superstars they hope to be or they fall into ruin as Boobie Miles, Derric Evans, and Gary Edwards
When he was a child his father “left for the gas station to get cigarettes” and has yet to return, before his father left he had abused him. His mother was a stay at home mom, she was barely able to provide for them. But when he entered college that all changed because of his dominance in the sport of basketball and he was such a big guy people were scared to bully him. In high school his report card grades dropped because he was bullied so much but even after they plummeted he was still a straight D student. But in college he was a straight A student with honors, all three times he went to college he got honors.
I am now officially in my Senior year of Cross Country , and am close to the end of my season. My first race of this year though was a big accomplishment for me, because I hadn`t been able to run. When I ran that race though it made me just so happy I was able to finish it, I was`nt happy with the time, but there is always time for improvement. I was glad to be racing again and being apart of the team again. I believe that my injuries were a barrier in my way, but they did not stop my sports career.
Especially the audience motivates him because every time he plays they start to yell at him, but they don’t see why he is doing so. Finally, his hard work to win the game. This story seems a little bit of an external conflict because this story is all about the black man and the audience.
I am a runner. I was selected to be a cross country captain for my senior year and I had set myself a realistic goal of being one of the top five finishers at the state meet in the fall. I never had the thought that I could not do it; I knew I was going to be up there with the best. When the state meet came and I traveled with the team as captain, that race became one of the most memorable of my cross country career but not for the reasons I expected.
Until a farm accident changed his life forever, the young man of this story enjoyed the life of a world-class athlete. Before he was injured, Aaron Kornylo was one of the best high jumpers in Canadian sports history. He enjoyed the attention his victories brought him. Aaron recalls, “standing proud on the dais... being vested with his Commonwealth Games gold by Prince Charles himself'; (Gault 61). To Aaron it was a perfect life, or “his personal vision of the best of all possible worlds'; (Gaul 62). He was an accomplished athlete, “the best... Willow Creek had ever produced'; (Gault 62). Then people revered Aaron, and he was completely satisfied with his life. All of this changes abruptly and violently when a farming accident almost kills Aaron and necessitates the amputation of his leg. With his leg severed by a harvester, driven by his father, Aaron is continually haunted. He relives the incident through a nightmare of his: “first the noise- the machine’s noise- would have to come, closer and closer and... then the pain, so terrible that the brain in it’s mysterious wisdom shut down the system... just after the scream'; (Gault 60). Forced to have his leg amputated, “the surgeons in Saskatoon had done a fine job, very neat... but he didn’t feel like giving [any] thanks'; (Gault 62). Looking down at “the rounded stump that had once been his right leg'; (Gault 62) Aaron would have no choice but to “get used to... that hated wooden leg'; (Gaul 62). The physical part of Aaron’s injury is the only visible sign of his problem, for this young man is now struggling with the prospect of life as an amputee.
Usain Bolt is known as the “fastest man alive.” Usain Bolt was just a normal Jamaican kid, but he wanted more. He pushed himself the be the very best. Now no competitor can even get close to accomplishments, determinations, sacrifice, and pure talent (“Usain Bolt”). He won nine gold medals as a predominant champion at the 2008, 2012, and the 2016 Summer Games. LeBron is one of the most popular basketball player known in the United States of America. Most people do not know Lebron James’s story. LeBron James basically grew up without a father. His father was arrested several times for drug problems. His mother struggled with finding a job and battled with money to provide for her family as a single mother. Going to bed hungry was not uncommon for LeBron James and his siblings. LeBron wanted to make a difference in his life and his families’ life (“LeBron James’s life story”). Our culture today classify the athletes as “insanity,” but each of these individuals were completely lively.
My brother and I push the rusty metal of the way and we climb through the hole and finally we start running. The guy starts chasing us then my brother and I climb over a fence and run into the forest. When me and my brother go into the forest we find this dog. My brother say’s it’s so cute then I say do you want to keep him and my brother say’s yes. So we start walking with the dog then we see the dust and we try to find a place to hide. Then the dog runs away and my brother and “I say comeback.”

Before Squeaky left her mom told her to be safe in the park and to not to lose any of her Lilo costume while she was running. She then went to the race hoping she would win the race and get to bring home to big trophy that you got if you won the race. When Squeaky got to the front of the line to get in, the lady then asked
With shaky knees, I hesitantly made my way up the large white steps. With the back of my hand, I brushed away a few salty tears of relief. As I stood at the top of the podium and looked up into the packed stadium, my mind drifted back to everything I had gone through to achieve this moment, the day I became a state champion.
The moment of truth was upon me. The official times, this includes whom qualified for finals, for the 400m relay had been posted. My eyes scanned the page for the bold letters that spell ANDERSON. As I ran my finger across the page to where the times were posted, my ears began to shut out all outside noises, leaving me alone with the thump of my heart and the inhale and exhale of my lungs. Both began to increase in speed as my eyes narrowed in on the time.
Noah was dirt biking down the road. It was his favourite hobby. He was going around a corner and lost his balance and fell. He was a really clumsy person. Then when he looked to his right he saw a girl jogging, as she jogged past him she helped him up and asked if he was ok. He said ‘I'm ok, thanks though.’ Then she said i’ll maybe see you around and handed him her number and jogged off at a faster pace. He got up and saw that his bike was broken so he walked it back to his truck and loaded it onto the trailer that was hitched to the back of the truck. He drove back to his Mechanic shop and unloaded his bike and started to work on it. He had been a mechanic for almost 6 years now. He was 27 years old. After he fixed his bike. He went home that
Usain Bolt was born in Jamaica August 21, 1986 with a severe spinal condition. Even then he didn’t let that hold him back. As he was he was growing up he started become an all-around athlete that excelled in every sport but had a particular interest in badminton. He had always been exceedingly exceptional at running and participated many youth tournaments but until one of his coaches took him under his wing and began to train him he began to thrive in the event. It was then that his actual success began but that is also when the critics came as well. In Jamaica sprinting is a very serious sport and not without a reason many Jamaican sprinters have gotten at least one medal in the careers and many of them broke world records. At the time Usain Bolt became part of the Jamaican track and field team he had a lot track stars that h...
