It’s great to hear from you! I just got approval to do my internship this fall and it would be an incredible experience if I could do it with the Texas Legends.

Basically, UNT’s internship program is a way for students to get hands-on experience under the supervision of a professional in the field. Since The Legends are already a pre-approved sponsor, all I need is for someone on the staff to agree to be my supervisor and oversee my work during the internship. Usually this means doing a variety of jobs in different areas of the organization, to see how all of the moving parts come together. My primary interests are special events and community promotions, but truthfully, I’d be happy to work in any department you’ve got.

    It all seemed a little overwhelming. How I ended up there still seems like a dream even today. Back in early 2001, while working in an art museum library in Nashville, Tennessee, I heard about the internships at the National Gallery of Art. They have quite the reputation in the art world. I bemused myself by daydreaming of one day being an intern there. At the time I heard about them I most certainly wasn't a good candidate.
