Recommended: Effects of charity on society

Helping people is one of the things I was brought up learning form my parents. United Way is one of the many charities that help people. Being the 1st largest charity in the U.S. United Way helps people in need. United Way is a nonprofit organization that helps 50 million families a year. They have 1800 offices in 45 different countries helping communities with their schools, government agencies, and many more. United way was founded in 1887 in Denver, Co by Frances Wisebart Jacobs, the Rev. Myron W. Reed, Msgr. William J.O’Ryan, Dean H. Martyn Hart and Rabbi William S. Friedman.
