Introduction

The company that we will discussed in this paper is Unilever Indonesia.Unilever Indonesia was founded on 1933. It has grown to become one of the leading companies for personal care products and foods and ice cream in Indonesia. The series covers the products of Unilever Indonesia famous brands in the world such as Pepsodent, Lux, Lifebouy, Dove, Sunsilk, Clear, Rexona, Vaseline, Rinso, Molto, Sunlight, Walls, Blue Band, Royco, Bango, and others.

Management Education and Leadership

As Alvesson (2013) stated, “What the university offers is often perhaps not guaranteed improved intellectual skills or knowledge but rather credentials: a diploma that signals employability and basic work discipline, but that often has uncertain information value.”

Unilever Indonesia has ‘Unilever Future Leaders Program’ which prepares fresh graduates to achieve managerial quality by 3 years. This program is designed to make future leaders become a manager to study with world-class experts. Future leaders will be hired to function and develop their ledaership skills by working on live projects that offers all the experience to be ready for the role manajement.

There are two imporatant things in doing recruitment and development of superior taltent. First, it should be realized that everyone wants to be part of something important. Second, to understand that the key to finding and hiring people who can love their job. Unilever also has a systm of performance review cycle, which is an assessment of recruited people

Conclusion

Though various CSR program that was conducted by Unilever Indonesia showed that the company was attentive and concerned with the health and hygiene of Indonesian society. Evidenced by the success of the program JGC (Jakarta Green and Clean) has been made since 2008 until now, the program has helped communities in managing a healthy and clean environment, as well as waste reduction where the trash is a problem that never ends. However Unilever is able to create programs that can mitigate them. Not only to combat junk, the program ties between citizen and increase incomes. It is expected that the program can continue even better in the future.
