The goal of every individual is to achieve success. Our goal as the United party is to achieve success in Canada. Canada is already approaching a level of greatness, but there is always room for improvement. Firstly, we want to improve our immigration process. Immigration leads to job creation and a better economy. By letting in more immigrants, we will be improving our job market and therefore improving our economy. We are constantly increasing the amount of jobs in the market, but one major flaw currently, is that 6.8% of persons living in Canada are unemployed. Our ultimate goal is to achieve a 0% unemployment rate, and if elected to guide Canada, we will immediately start making steps to reach that goal.
One of our main hopes is to improve
Sustainability is key to building a strong country. We need to have a sustainable way of generating electricity, and a sustainable amount of resources to utilize and trade. If we do not start thinking of logical ways to help Canada’s environmental sustainability, we will face dire consequences in the future. We will suggest plans for more bike-friendly roads to municipalities to encourage more people to bike to school or work. Not only will this help the environment, it will help individuals avoid traffic on their way to work, and offer them a time-efficient way to get active. Biking is also a great way to prevent one-self of getting sick, depressed and lazy. It also helps individuals become more aware of their surrounding neighborhoods, helping unite
We will especially reduce the amount of packaging around products in shops and promote organic, locally grown produce through advertisements and increasing taxes on shipped foods.
Other than these points stated above, Canada already has plans such as the Paris agreement under-way. Basically, the Paris agreement is that industries will have a set amount of GHG and chemical waste they can emit to the environment. If an industry surmounts the cap, they will be fined according to the amount surpassed.
In conclusion, as the United party, we ensure you that we will continue to enforce the plans the previous government has set and continue to provide new options so that united, we can bring positive changes to Canada leading far into the
“Just watch me.”Joseph Philippe Pierre Yves Elliott Trudeau said in 1970. He meant it as he fought to keep Quebec a part of Canada. Not only did he do that, he managed to be prime minister for 16 years, as well as being Canada’s youngest leader at the time. He brought greater civil rights to Canadians, Quebec citizens mainly. His charismatic personality matched his innovative ideas, that enhanced Canada for the better. For his entire political career, not only did Canada watch him, the whole world watched him change the country for the better. He made a radical change to Canada by championing the idea of officially implementing bilingualism. Trudeau was a trailblazer from the moment he was elected.
If I were the prime minister of Canada, I would strive to accomplish and strengthen three major things. First, I would make sure that our educational system maintains strong and will make others succeed in life, second, I would make sure that everyone has equal and fair treatment in our society, and lastly, I would make sure every Canadian family can live happily by reducing tax.
...ications with the world. If elected, the NDP promises to propose a new act called the Poverty Elimination Act which aims to eliminate all poverty in Canada by 2020.

Second, I will highlight three of Trudeau’s domestic policies and demonstrate how his political actions contributed to a unified Canada. These three examples are the Official Languages Act which helped to resolve the language issue; the Multiculturalism Act of 1971 which was aimed at promoting

Throughout the early 1980’s Canadian society began being troubled by its relationship with Quebec, it seemed more isolated than ever. After being promised a deal following the separation referendum and not seeing any development, it appeared they were more bitter and angry than ever before. They could not be forced to sign the Constitution Act of 1982, therefore, there was much pressure for the federal government to come up with a quick solution to either lose Quebec or finally win them over. Brian Mulroney was elected in 1984 and made it his personal goal to unite Quebec with the rest of Canada. Mulroney planned on completing this task by opening up the constitution and meeting various requests Quebec had, along with repairing other flaws that seemed to be dragging the country down.
The Government of Canada will support all of Canada’s cultures and allow resources to the immigrants who have demonstrated a desire and effort to maintain their own culture and identity.

...vernment with the public demands and their perspectives on what should be done. Another ideal method highlighted includes introducing a new policy to reduce the lengthy period in which immigrants spend in upgrading their education to be equivalent to Canadian standards. Overall, I highly recommend that the first measure which involves implementing a Social Democratic approach would be ideal in addressing this issue. The reason being is that with this approach, the government would be responsible for implementing new regulations for immigration in Canada that will accompany new policies to ensure that all people are treated with equality and justice. There will be a more humanitarian and egalitarian policies to guide immigration in Canada, which will in turn make it easier for immigrants to participate in the Canadian labour market.
Canada is an example of a nation with the question of a country wide unification among all its citizens on the table since the time of confederation in 1867 and even a few years prior. What some these factors that make Canada different from areas around it? How can a country that dominates such large land mass and that bares such vast cultural differences, be united? Can Canadians ever come to agreement upon the values they hold to be important? The debates of these questions continue to plague Canadian parliaments, especially when examining the differences between Canada and the province Quebec. Even though many argue and hope for Canada’s unity in the future, the differences in political socialization and culture present throughout the country creates a blurry vision of Canadian harmony and makes it extremely difficult to realistically vision Canadian unification. Is that, however, a bad thing?
Canada is great economic superpower that has yet to reach its potential. As the second largest nation by area, we possess vast natural resources. We are a massive importer and exporter on the world stage, who a play a vital role in the stability of the northern hemisphere. Through Canada’s international trade, we export vast quantities of many different foods stuffs, minerals and manufactured goods like cars, while we tend to import lots of Iron, Aluminum and Steel. Our relations with neighbouring nations have been integral in the success of our trade. In 1994 Canada became a member of the North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA with the US and Mexico. NAFTA reorganized Canada’s and America’s trading systems to work as one. The trade issue of recent months is about the rising costs of energy in Canada and in the United States. Newly elected President George W. Bush now is proposing a North American energy initiative for a continental power grid. This proposal puts Canada in a very uncomfortable situation. On the one hand we would love to share our resources and appease our super-power to the south. But on the other we prefer to leave our pristine land alone. The growing trend nowadays is that politicians are the ones wanting to please the Americans by giving away our resources, while it is the activist who is concerned about the vast environmental damage this energy legislation could entail.
As Canadian's fertility rate fells, baby boomers retires, immigration and foreign workers becomes very important for the increase of labor demands in the Canadian's job market. The government is planning to reduce the application waiting time and therefore there will be more newcomers coming in the next fewer years. Canadian companies will then have many experienced and foreign trained applicants where they can help Canadian companies to increase their foreign trade and to build a better relationship with the other country. However, new comers have difficulties in finding employment because of their unrecognized foreign qualifications, non Canadian work experienced and the lack of support in the settlement programs where they get help to find employment.
... with in order for it to be achieved. It has goals which seek to reduce poverty, spur economic growth, create economic transformation and mass job creation as well as be rid of inequality. Long-term planning and investment in the future is just as important for the private as the public sector. The government has pledged it commitment to the NDP and Government is clearly stating its commitment to the NDP, and it is important that the private sector does the same. The NDP stands out because it is a well articulated and planned process which has a time-frame which should help to ensure that things are achieved on time. COSATU's draft of the NDP's critique, provides possible obstacles that the NDP may encounter, it states its qualms with its diction and length. Perhaps, the NDP should release an executive summary which is shorter in length and scripted in layman's term.
