Overall health is important to everyone. Overall health includes taking care of teeth, skin, nails, hair, eyes and ears. Choosing the right products, and eating the right foods to take care of the body are also important. Growing up, children need to learn the importance of taking care of themselves so that they are able to remain healthy as adults. Many people take health so seriously that they even have careers in health. Taking care of health includes personal hygiene. This includes a daily shower, washing your hands, brushing your teeth twice a day and eating a healthy diet. Those who do not brush their teeth on a regular basis will end up with cavities, root canals and many years of pain and sitting in a dentist chair. Not taking a shower regularly can lead to skin problems as well as being an outcast from people because of an unpleasant smell. It also important to feed the body from the five food groups daily. I have being drinking a lot of sodas and sport drinks, and maybe barely two cups a day of water. We as parents need to encourage our children to get exercise by riding their bikes, going for walks, or playing some type of sport activity. So many children now days stay inside and eat unhealthy foods and play video games. That is why obesity is getting out of control and where the risk factors start to come in to play. Take the time to make good choices in our food selections and getting the right amount of exercise that we need, because it can help decrease the chances we may have of getting any of these diseases.
