In the Prologue, Miguel De Cervantes describes a parent’s unconditional love. It states, “It sometimes happens that a father has an ugly son with no redeeming grace whatever, yet love will draw a veil over the parental eyes which then behold only cleverness and beauty in place in defects out to be the signs of comeliness and intellect. In my opinion, I believe that he is not describing a physically ugly son, but instead a person with an ugly personality or ugly character. This describes a person who is unkind, mean, rude, disrespectful, or selfish. A parent’s unconditional love is what leads to the veil pulled over the eyes that is described in Don Quixote. The lyrics of Tim Lopez of Plain White T's song, The Giving Tree, hits home for many who have been in a relationship and gave them there all without receiving it back. The song relates to many people in relationships or even friendships. The relation to the song can range from a variety of ages and sexes. Someone can only put so much into a relationship with receiving little to nothing back, until they finally break down and walk away. Tim Lopez was inspired by a children's book by Shel Silverstein, The Giving Tree, which was about a relationship between a boy and a tree. Tim Lopez wrote this song about his one-way relationship where he gave it his all with little to nothing in return.
The use of the word Love is seen 15 times in Deuteronomy which shows the importance of love towards not only our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, the love we are to extend to our neighbor, the love we have for the Lord and of course the love the Lord freely gives to us. In the Old Testament the evidence of God’s love is seen repeatedly. In Deuteronomy 6:4-5 the passage is taken from perhaps the most well known Old Testament passage that is later referenced in the New Testament. We are directed to use all of our being to love the Lord. True love is something that occurs naturally, without compulsion and pressure from any influential factors. The characters Romeo and Juliet die fighting for their infatuation that Shakespeare attempts to label as love. Neither character has an eloquent idea of what true love is; they are so inexperienced that they mistake their lust to be love. In the play, “The Most Excellent and Lamentable Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet,” Shakespeare expresses a romantic lust between the protagonists that fails to prove itself as true love because of struggles and conflicts that bring Romeo and Juliet together.
“Love interrupts at every hour at the most serious occupations, and sometimes perplexes for a while even the greatest minds.” – Schopenhauer1 All of us that have been in love can identify with this quote, but the real question is how do we find, and choose our lovers? Schopenhauer would argue that making a decision, about an ultimate lover is merely biological. He believes in something he calls the will to life which he defines as “an inherent drive within human beings to stay alive and reproduce.”1 We sometimes even ask ourselves why him, or why her? We have absolutely no conscious say in the partner we pick, and that our animalistic subconscious picks our lovers. Yes, humans do romantic things with their lovers, and for their lovers to strengthen the connection like: picnics, expensive dinners, and rose petals on the floor. But the main decision is ultimately based on biological factors alone. The last thing you’re thinking about when getting someone’s number at a club is having a baby, but subconsciously that’s the truth .1 I will analyze Schopenhauer’s ideas of love, giving modern evidence, as well as stories of personal experience throughout the next few paragraphs. I believe Schopenhauer hit the nail right on the head when it comes to love (besides his idea of polygamy.)

Being bound to one’s culture is not necessarily a bad thing. The kids are disciplined and respectful, at least in the presence of other adults. The problem with the father was not understanding that some values are expired and do not fit society's norms. Traditions that bring families together should be kept not the opposite. Since society's norms are constantly changing, we have to keep traditions alive that correlate. Good traditions and cultural values should be passed on from generation to generation not the traditions that bring children down.
I prefer to think of Romeo and Juliet as a love story with a tragic ending rather than a classic tragedy, because the love Romeo and Juliet find and share is beautiful and inspiring: there is nothing tragic about it.
In Book Thirteen of Confessions, Saint Augustine’s subject matter is the Holy Spirit, who is love. We are enlightened to the main point of his entire work. He believed that everything and everyone is connected to love. He said, when we share this love, which comes from the Holy Spirit, we are closest to God. In this essay, I will summarize Augustine’s final work and I will compare it to the teachings of Plotinus, Stoics and Skepticism. Having inherited the myth of ugliness and unworthiness, the characters throughout the story, with the exception of the MacTeer family, will not only allow this to happen, but will instill this in their children to be passed on to the next generation. Beauty precedes love, the grownups seem to say, and only a few possess beauty, so they remain unloved and unworthy. Throughout the novel, the convictions of sons and daughters are the same as their fathers and mothers. Their failures and accomplishments are transferred to their children and to future generations.

Love, the single feeling that generates the funny sentiments in our stomach, giving us the warm pleasures in our body, causing us to feel joy, and to believe every aspect in our life will constantly go right. In addition, causing us to receive an accelerating, appealing feeling that makes us want to rejoice. Love can be a speeding of your heart, but it can also be nerve-racking. Our hearts rapidly begin to pump, making a rapid beat— “ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom”. Attempting to describe love is a rigorous task, but it is possible. However, the easiest detail to describe and understand about love is the concept of what it is about. Many people may obtain different views and definitions regarding love, but their ideas tend to unite at some point.
