By experiencing this every day, I connect to love. My parents love me, but I love my Labradoodle. My friends love me, but I love traveling the world. God loves me, but I love the art of makeup. Love is the touch of my mother’s warm fingertips gently scratching my back as she tells me she loves me more. Love is the touch of my father’s hands as he guides me through the intractable game of life. To love and to be loved, both unique feelings, that everyone will experience

Affectionately, devotedly, and blissfully, I will love constantly my family members. Unconditional love is the smell of the washed and hung out to dry sheets, that almost blow an individual away with crisp scents of roses and fabric freshener. According to the novel, Real Love, one may best describe unconditional love as “caring about the happiness of another person without any thought for what we might get for yourself ” (Baer). One may exhibit unconditional love by owning a dog. A dog will have a strong fondness for its owner on your worst day and holds no grudges. With their slobbering nose, their drizzling tongue, and their wagging tail, kissing their proprietor after a long day’s work. With open arms, a family will love their loved ones unconditionally as no matter how many mistakes a person makes, they will be the first to forgive and the first to forget. Unconditional love is a phrase our God has promised for each and every one of …show more content…
For the ones we love most, accomplishing acts of kindness seems effortless. Love is one of the most powerful words; people may go to the ends of the Earth to receive or give it. Effortless love is an amazing type of love to administer or receive. An example of effortless love include caring for a sick spouse. No matter how unpleasant things may get, a person will be able to care for their spouse. One should not find yourself making a special effort to prove to your spouse that they are worth it. I believe effortless love is the best type of love to receive as it is something authentic and not forced. When it comes to love, a person should not have to try, it resembles a second-hand nature. Cooking pancakes and bacon in the morning, and surprising your husband while he is still lying in bed sound asleep is another distinct example of effortless
The effects of love and sacrifice on one’s life can be shown through the character of Lucie Manette in the novel A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. The way Lucie applies warmth to her friends and family and sacrifices for them has a greater impact than anything else could possibly do. In fact, loving gestures have the power to do anything. They can brighten moods and ameliorate one’s day. Overall, Love is a powerful feeling. It can be defined in many ways, but is always an important emotion to have. Without it, humans are empty. It is a necessary part of living; with it, anything is possible.
As most would likely find it common, all three interviewees had their greatest loss pertaining to death. Susan, Liz, and Dave all went through a period of struggle when losing someone they loved dearly. Susan lost her father, Liz lost her brother, and Dave lost his brother. With each interview being very distinct from one another, specific parts of each interview stood out from the rest. For instance, in Susan's interview, the words she used to describe what she lost stood out. There was an intense amount of emotion when she replied to the question with "how do you describe when you lose a dad" and then used the words "unconditional love". Going into Liz's interview, there were numerous things that stood out to me. First and foremost, was the
Love is not a noun to be defined, but rather a verb to be acted upon. When one loves someone or something it is action that causes them to achieve change and greatness. Love makes humans vulnerable and causes us to open up to others and present ourselves for who we truly are. Love, acceptance, fear, and race a long with other topics are addressed in James Baldwin’s book, The Fire Next time. In this book he goes into great depth about the meaning of love. Through my interpretations, I believe Baldwin is telling his audience that we as humans, go through life with a mask in order to hide who we really are. It is love however, that causes vulnerability and takes off this mask we carry with us on a daily basis.
This passage marks the first of several types of love, and gives us an intuitive
Fromm describes the value of secure attachment, explaining that to a baby, “mother is warmth, mother is food, mother is euphoric state of satisfaction and security” (Fromm, 38). As they grow, children learn how to love and be loved through this relationship. The experience of being loved as a baby is described as a “passive one” because “there is nothing I [the baby] has to do in order to be loved” (Fromm, 39). Love, as a child may have learned about it, can only be received and “cannot be acquired, produced, controlled”, but the “capacity to love” can be developed; this is usually displayed in children starting at age eight (Fromm, 40). In a healthy learning journey, children come to learn that “love is not primarily a relationship to a specific person; it is an attitude, an orientation of character which determines the relatedness of a person to the world as a whole, not toward one “object” of love” (Fromm, 46). Children will seriously struggle - especially in regards to their ability to love and be loved - if they are deprived a comforting, present caretaker in their early years of
Much of my life, love has been defined by an unexplainable and uncontrollable feeling that burns inside your soul. One that when you look at a person you will just know and the rest will be history. This definition of love I grew up love was also demanding, controlling, dependent, and selfish. But still it was something to be desired and something everyone couldn’t wait to feel. To love
Love is said to be one of the most desired things in life. People long for it, search for it, and crave it. It can come in the form of partners, friends, or just simply family. To some, love is something of a necessity in life, where some would rather turn a cold shoulder to it. Love can be the mixture of passion, need, lust, loyalty, and blood. Love can be extraordinary and breathtaking. Love being held so high can also be dangerous. Love can drive people to numerous mad things with it dangerously so full of craze and passion.
Love is arguably the most powerful emotion possessed by mankind; it is the impalpable bond that allows individuals to connect and understand one another. Pure love is directly related to divinity. Without love, happiness and prosperity become unreachable goals. An individual that possesses all the desired superficial objects in the world stands alone without the presence of love. For centuries love has been marveled by all that dare encounter it. Countless books and poems have been transcribed to explain the phenomenon of love, but love surpasses all intellectual explanations and discussions. Love is not a definition, but rather a thought, an idea. This idea, the idea of love, burns inside us all. Instinctually, every soul on Earth is
Love is not usually well defined. People often think that they are in love, but they cant explain it. There is a great dealing of confusion of the words love, and infatuation. Love may include romance, infatuation, affection and tenderness. But it could be love if one or more of the elements are not present. The definition of love varies from person to person. Love is essential element for all relationships. Much of what is written about love is either brief or mocking. Society in general is very cruel and heartless toward real love of any kind. Modern writing mocks marriages, husbands and wives, but condones adultery, and other obscene values. Real love is a mystery to most people. Most people never realize the true potential or value of love, nor do they learn to practice the art of love.
Love by definition is an emotion explored in philosophy, religion, and literature, often as either romantic love, the fraternal love of others, or the love of God based on the definition found in The Encarta Encyclopedia. As I explored the definition by means of the Internet, books, and articles I noticed the definitions changed quite a bit, but yet had the same basic understanding. The definition I found in The Encarta Encyclopedia was probably the most simple and most basic. It refers to love in the whole aspect, which is Godly, fraternal, and romantic. All in which can only be defined by one word and that it love.
The definition of the word “love” cannot be put into a simple sentence. It may be shown in actions; for example, spending hours helping a little sister with their college applications, doing the dishes for a loved one when they 're tired, or simply remembering what their favorite food is. Familial love is odd in the fact that with biological family no matter how annoying that family member ma be, we still feel obligation to interact and take care of said family member. This type of love has no limits in who it can include. On the flip side, when there is a betrayal by a family member that wound is so much deeper. Families are torn apart everyday because of bad decisions. Familial love is a primal instinctual feeling that drives a good portion of our lives. This photograph is an ode to simpler times. When all the children had to worry about was when their next meal was, how muddy they could get the dogs, and whether or not they got to hang out with their older sister and her friends. Familial love is such a complex sentiment that this photo merely encapsulates a small portion of the variance and wonderful emotion that can be the impetus for the actions of humans
Love, that single feeling which generates the funny sensations in people's stomach, giving them the warm pleasures in their body, causing them to feel joy, and to believe every aspect in their life is right. It causes them to receive an exhilarating, appealing feeling that makes them want to rejoice. Love can be a speeding of their heart, but it can also be nerve-racking. It makes their hearts begin to rapidly pump, making a rapid beat— “ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom”. Attempting to describe love is a rigorous task, but it is possible. However, the easiest detail to describe and understand about love is not so much the feeling of it, but the concept of what it is about. Many people may obtain different views and definitions regarding love, but
Love is one of those things that means different things to different people. If you would look the word love up in the dictionary, you would find this: “an intense feeling of deep affection.” For some people, love can be purely romantic or even just purely sexual. For others, real love can only exist between family members or between people and a god. For some people, it is felt for your partners, family, pets, or even inanimate objects. None of the people are right or wrong, but I do know one thing, love is very powerful. Love is overused in today's world, people say they love someone because of the way they look or their body. That isn't love. To me, love is the most spectacular, indescribable, deep euphoric
