When he was asked about his feeling after signing a one-year deal to return for a 14th season in Miami, he said he was glad to be back and the 13 years he played with Wade and many other great players have prepared him to lead a new generation of guys as well as the next step of his career. He says that he plans to get the guys together to become more comfortable with each other and learn more about each other, which would help them trust each other more, resulting to them winning. He says that it hasn’t really set into him 100 percent that Wade is not going to be there and that it won’t until the first day of practice when Wade is not there, for now he is just trying to focus on being a leader. He says that his role doesn't really change as a veteran leader only that he will be having to get the guys together off the court for house gatherings and stuff like that which Wade would usually do. He says that if Bosh does return, he expects him to be healthy and helping. Once he found out Wade was leaving, he was thinking about what he needs to do to lead and help these guys to understand how the Heats are and to make sure the legacy keeps moving forward even though he did not sign his contract
It was not until the year 2002 that the NBA was able to find someone to match Jordan’s dazzling acrobatic style of play. His name is Lebron James. Lebron, who plays shooting guard and small forward, stands at an athletic six-eight. James, however, never played in the NCAA. He was drafted straight out of high school in the 2003-04 season, by the Cleveland Cavaliers. James is already on the road to success by achieving co-rookie of the year, and he appeared in the Olympics. James is expected to be a champion, but he may not have what it takes to become a real champion such as Michael Jordan was. Before Jordan or James can be categorized as a champion, they have to be able to handle pressure, fame, and maintain a positive relationship with their team. When comparing Jordan and James’ clutch capabilities, or their ab...
Due to vast improvements throughout history, human rights has allowed people to freely speak their ideas and beliefs. Also, the transition from a modernized society to a more virtual society has allowed people to express their ideas more freely and have access to news from all over the world. Thus, people are entitled to their opinion, ideas, and beliefs. However, all expressed ideas have counter arguments for example in religion people might share different views based on their beliefs but they still have the security of their right to maintain their beliefs freely. Since society has took a dip in the virtual side of living, division due to power has strengthened through the use of social media. This has lead society into a dystopia, where control by a higher power is enabled. More over, associations such as the National Basketball Association have the power to enforce regulations on their players to maintain power and rule. For example, in recent years the NBA as enforced a strict dress code where players can no longer wear their desired choice of clothing but instead dress formal when entering and when leaving the stadium. Thus, from this action a dystopian environment is created, players no longer can express themselves freely and if they do they will be punished. Such regulations have caused higher authority over people inhibiting them from freely expressing ideas and beliefs which is completely wrong. People, especially players who are so highly valued, should be allowed the right to freely express themselves on interviews or even when dressing . This is because those who are allowed to freely express themselves are much more comfortable and happier.

What Wade did on the court was matched with what he did off the court. He embraced the Miami area, changing it from a Football city into a basketball city.

In 2010, LeBron James held “The Decision,” a television special on ESPN, to announce that he will play with the Miami Heat. For Cleveland fans, it was like an arrow punctured their hearts, causing them to lose hope in everything. However, “The Decision” generated $2.5 million for the Boys & Girls Club of America, allowing them to renovate their buildings. In 2015, LeBron James announced that his foundation, the LeBron James Foundation, would partner with the University of Akron and JPMorgan Chase to help students attend college by giving them full scholarships to attend the University of Akron, ensuring their future is brighter than the stars that shine in the

Few professional basketball athletes’ names are recognizable to the avid, diehard basketball fans and the uninterested layman alike. One of the first, if not the first, athlete to pop up in anyone’s head is the legendary Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, also known as His Airness, MJ, and Air Jordan, is widely considered the greatest basketball players of all time. Throughout his professional career, Jordan kept changing the game and redefined the entire sport of basketball. However, in 2002, an aspiring athlete by the name of LeBron Raymone James, also known as King James or simply LeBron, immediately rose to prominence and caught the attention of the entire NBA community. The young star quickly proved his tremendous skill, receiving the hype of being the next Michael Jordan. Looking closer, I found that the similarities between the two players are striking.

The Toronto Raptors are looking good at the start of the NBA regular season. However, their two consecutive losses against top contenders Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors proves to be that they are missing the services of Bismack Biyombo. Rumors now are saying that they are targeting the services of 76ers Nerlens Noel or Thunder Enes Kanter.
The complicated marriage of former NBA star Lamar Odom and reality television star Khloe Kardashian may be on the rocks again. At least, if the rumors are true.
“Sports do not build character…. They reveal it” (John Wooden). This quote by the UCLA coaching legend, John Wooden, best describe LeBron James and particularly in the 2010 off season. There was month of speculation about this event that was going to become a nationwide headline. The decision of whether the number one basketball player in the country would stay in his home town of Cleveland or opt out to go to another team such as the Chicago Bulls or the Miami Heat. This type of programming wasn’t necessary at all because every off season, there are hundreds of transactions made throughout the league, and sports programs, such as ESPN, made the NBA look like it revolved around LeBron.
