In William Shakespeare’s classic play Romeo and Juliet, the two young characters love caused deaths and sadness. The character mainly to blame for these tragedies is: Tybalt. Tybalt is pugnacious. His pugnacious manner caused his death and Mercutio’s death. Tybalt is undoubtedly to blame for the tragedies in the play Romeo and Juliet.
The first reason to blame Tybalt is because he is pugnacious. At the beginning of the story Romeo goes to the Capulet’s party in hope of getting to dance with Rosaline. Tybalt is at the party a notices Romeo and sends his servant for his sword. Tybalt would have fought with Romeo, but Lord Capulet told him not to fight. After the party Benvolio and Mercutio figure out that Romeo didn’t come home from the party because Tybalt sent a letter to Romeo’s house challenging Romeo to a duel. Tybalt doesn’t give up. He will do whatever he can to fight with the Montagues or anyone affiliated with the Montagues. When Tybalt died Lady Capulet thought that Juliet was sad because of Tybalt’s death. In reality, Juliet was sad because she thought Romeo died. Since Romeo killed Tybalt, Romeo was banished. If Tybalt would have just not fought with Romeo everything would've been good. Juliet was very sad that Romeo was banished and she would most likely never see Romeo again. Lady Capulet thought that Juliet was sad because Tybalt died. So, Lady Capulet comforted Juliet by saying that she will have somebody sent to kill Romeo because of what he did. This made Juliet even more sad. If Tybalt wouldn’t have died nobody would have been sad. Also, Lord and Lady Capulet thought that Juliet getting married would make her feel happy.
