Twitch and Cyrus, they are both dancers who came together to dance on “So You Think You Can Dance”.Twitch is an hip hop dacer and Cyrus is an robotic animation dancer. The dance was hip hop dances moves in robotic movements and it was not at all emotionally stirring , but it was a very good dance. The music used in this performance was very dramatic and it really did fit the movements of the dance. Also, the costumes used in the performance really did fit the dance because they matched and they looked like they just came to life in a robot lab and this is their first time awake after being genetically altered. The best part of the dance was when they broke out of the glassed box at the beginning of the performance it was so exciting and real and …show more content…
When Twitch and Cyrus both hit the stage they were in a plastic glass box and when the first 8 count ended they broke the glass and walks out all robotically and start to dance like a robot but not your average backyard party robot dance . The movement of Twitch and Cyrus was so advance and they moved in a stiff and really hardcore. They did movement that was kind of like the matrix’s and their whole bodies was in the dance not just their hands and arms. At the end of the dance they stop so suddenly that it was as if someone was moving their bodies the whole dance and the person then just suddenly place they …show more content…
There were about 9 couples of one man and a woman and the dance started out by them all being on their knees on the floor waving fans like they were in a old black church in the south. As the dance progressed the couple got up and start swaying back and forth dancing then the men step back in the women started dancing as they had caught the holy spirit. They the woman further gone on to dance a style we call the church as praise dancing. As the dance continued the men started swaying and clapping in the back and then came up and started dancing with the woman. Lastly at the end they keep doing many dance moves that had to do with looking up and pointing up as well which maybe they looking or pointing at good and at the very end they were on their knees again but this time their their hands and arms were up and out
The concept that belly dance is a constantly evolving dance might surprise most people, as the static Orientalist image of the belly dancer is the one that pervades American popular culture. I and other scholars attempt to remove belly dance from the ridged framework of Orientalism and the harem fantasy. By the following how belly dance arrived in America, and how images of belly dancers and harems became part of the visual culture of the West I have attempted to demonstrate that there are aspects of power and a different reading of images of belly dance is possible. Through continued scholarly inquiry and research I look forward to the emergence of a new image of belly dance, one that represents the power and beauty of this dance, an image that is respectful of the many cultures that it represents.
Every dance that is created by a choreographer has a meaning and or purpose behind it. The dance choreographed could be used to send a political, emotional, or a social message. Regardless of the message being sent, each dance created possesses a unique cultural and human significance. In the beginning, the dancers start on the ground and in the motions of the music and essentially “slipping” through the past there was this rise and sink motion that was fluid. Both dancers arced, spoked and carved. Renee made lots of lines with her entire body as he held her straight (horizontally) in his arms and she also arced as she put her arms around him to hang on to him and as she let go of him she continued to make circle with her feet. In addition, in the beginning of the video, they created an infinity symbol with their legs and feet to an extent signify the past as always being a part of your life even after you slip through and let go.

The boys practice and danced so much that they basically missed out on their childhood from the start they weren’t allowed to go outside and play with the other kids from the neighborhood they were inside practicing day and night until they got every step as perfect as Joseph wanted it. Joseph was strict and a aggressive parent he would beat them if they didn’t do the routine how he wanted it. He was very serious about them getting every step right, he wanted just about everything perfect. If one of them messed up then all of them had to pay for it, and would have to start over until...

Dancing is something that the Jacksons are just naturally gifted at, not only because of how they execute it, but the way they can tell a story just from their movements. The dance moves in this music video reminded me of a fluid robot. When it comes to Michael Jackson’s legendary moonwalk, it truly embodies what I think of someone from the future. His dance moves resemble to me, what I would think a robot or alien-like lifeform would move like. His dancing is so animative and futuristic, but he completes each move with such ease to the human eye, but that if we were to try it we would fail
As a young girl, I loved precision dancing and performing with my dance studio. I became familiar with the Radio City Rockettes and desired the confidence they emitted. Not only did I anxiously await the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade each year, but I continuously watched the movie "Annie,” impressed by the simplicity with which the Rockettes kicked and transitioned to unique
... focus. The dancers execute techniques and moves that are absolutely graceful and beautiful. The moves flow nicely from one to another. Towards the end of the dance all of the dancers begin to fade away into the darkness of the stage except for three of the dancers. After some time, each dancer begins to dance back into the spotlight to join the other dancers. They do not come all at once but instead one by one. This dance has a lot of shadows because of the way the stage is lit up. The dancers’ white tights have a purpose, they are meant to stand out in the dark and demonstrate that the dancers are still a part of the dance. Within the dance there are some small stunts. The dancers pick up other dancers and pose them in the air for a small amount of time. At the very end, the dancers return to their positions on the ground just like from the beginning of the dance.
Dance is a part of every culture. Whether it is the fire dances of the native Hawaiians, or the Tango from Spain, dance is a part of every culture. This event is not an event I would usually attend. I am not into art of any kind except music. At first, there were two reasons I went to this performance.
Dance is an ancient human practice, however the earliest record of human dance remains a mystery. By
