The band Twenty One Pilots was formed in 2009 in Columbus, Ohio by singer Tyler Robert Joseph along with two of his friends Chris Salih and Nick Thomas, who left the band a bit later. Chris and Nick were replaced by Joshua William Dun, who is now the drummer of the band. They’ve put out two self-released albums called ‘Twenty One Pilots’ and ‘Regional At Best’. In 2012, Twenty One Pilots was signed by Fueled By Ramen. After being signed, they created two more albums titled ‘Vessel’ and ‘Blurryface’. Tyler came up with the band name while studying a play called ‘All My Sons’, a play about man who must decide what’s best for his family after killing 21 pilots during World War II. The music genre of Twenty One Pilots is considered alternative or as Tyler likes to call it, “ukulelerapboy and Josh on da drooms”. It ranges from hip hop to pop, sometimes, even through one song the genre can change. Tyler is extremely talented, playing several different instruments including …show more content…
piano, ukulele and bass guitar. He also writes all of the band’s music. Tyler originally started making music because he needed a way to express his emotions and thoughts. Music became an outlet for him. He had created his own album before forming the band, it’s called ‘No Phun Intended’. Josh is the drummer of the band and Tyler’s best friend. Josh can also play the trumpet and sometimes does backup vocals. Josh originally played in a band called House of Heroes, then joining Twenty One Pilots later on in October. Music isn’t the main reason why most people listen to Twenty One Pilots though. The Twenty One Pilots fan base (also known as the Clique) connects deeply on an emotional level with the lyrics and each other. Each song has a deep and emotional meaning behind it, and a different meaning to each person who listens to their music. If you ask some of the Clique, Josh and Tyler have even saved lives through their music, concerts and fan meet and greets. It’s not just one person that they’ve helped, they’ve assisted so many people, so don’t think that these people are insane because mental illnesses and mental, physical or emotional damage can be really hard to deal with. Here’s a story coming from someone Twenty One Pilots has helped. “When I was 14, I became aware that I was suffering from severe depression.
At one point, my friend played me ‘Migraine’ by Twenty One Pilots and I became obsessed. I was amazed that I could relate to it so much. Eventually, I had a playlist with every single Twenty One Pilots song I could find. This was during a time when I felt I was entirely alone and even suicidal at one point. Tyler’s words helped me cope and feel like I had someone there for me. Thank you, Josh and Tyler, for saving my life” Twenty One Pilots truly is a unique band. They aren’t up there on the charts with artists like Taylor Swift or One Direction, but they’ve helped so many people with their music that they really deserve more recognition. Through countless interviews, Twenty One Pilots has stated that they don’t really mind being a small band, it helps their fans connect with each other and to the band themselves. They want their lyrics to really “make people think” and help people find their purpose, whatever that may
be. As deep and unique as their music can be, you’ll find some of their lyrics quite amusing, with lines like “then I feel my soul start leaving like an old man’s hair receding” or “I’m thinking ‘wow, I probably should’ve stayed inside my house’. Tyler has even wrote a six minute song about Taco Bell called TB Saga. Be careful when listening to their music for the first time though, otherwise, you might go deaf. There is quite a bit of screaming throughout their songs, but Tyler somehow makes it work.

In the short stories "Flight", “A Drug Called Tradition”, as well as the novel Flight by Sherman Alexie, there are some ideas that can be seen in all three of the sources. His oldest sibling, Joseph, who is a military pilot was caught in war and has not been heard from since. John-John remembers Joseph's inspirational state of mind and delightful singing and moving. He wanders off in a fantasy land about every which way Joseph might get back home. The most awful of these fantasies is the one in which
The band is based out of Georgia, so they incorporate many of the same values that southern communities appreciate. The lead vocalist, Zac Brown, and his diverse choice of members have created an octet where each member contributes a more adventurous sound and sway to their record. They have four albums and numerous charted singles under their name, and have just released their newest album, Jekyll + Hyde (2015). Together, while remaining true to the instruments and the message behind the music, the Zac Brown Band puts a personal touch on the elements of the genre and redefines country music (Zac Brown

Did you know that many airplanes crash every year and it is not an uncommon occurrence. Most plane crashes are either caused by mechanical failure or by pilots. Depending on the severity of the crash usually shows the outcome of survivors. Out of almost all of the flights that have crashed this year, a flight now only known as Flight 370 was very unusual. On March 8, 2014, a tragic event has happened. An airliner that departed from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing had mysteriously disappeared. The plane was a Malaysia Airlines flight numbered 370 that carried 239 passengers. The plane model used by almost all airlines was a Boeing 777. The plane was heading north towards Beijing when the plane turned around

Twenty One Pilots is a band originating in Columbus, Ohio, formed by two people, Tyler Joseph, singer, songwriter, and ukulele player, and Josh Dun, drummer. Although the band only has two people in it, they have hundreds of thousands of fans from around the world, selling out their most recent tour, Blurryface Tour, out in seconds. When blindly looking at Macbeth and Twenty One Pilots, one may not be able notice any similar traits considering the first is a play written in 1606, and the other is a band that originated in 2009; both are completely different in form and are from contrasting eras. Despite these differences, the well-known Shakespearean play, Macbeth, and the band, Twenty One Pilots, share similar messages involving manipulation, the need for power, and suicide.

With an eclectic mix of songs - ranging from grunge, to garage rock, to indie rock - each song gave off a different vibe from the last. Though the songs obviously have different influences, there is truly only one word to describe SWMRS leadman - angry. He’s angry at America, at Trump, at capitalism and overall just mad at the world. It simply oozes out of him while he performs.
On November 13th I went to Tramps in New York to see one of my favorite bands, MxPx. MxPx is a Christian pop-punk band. Pop punk basically means happy punk. The band members, are Mike Herrera who plays bass and sings, Tom Wisniewski who plays guitar and Yuri Ruley plays drums. They played about 10 songs, all of which I knew. Some of their songs have to do with society problems through the eyes of a teenager. At the show, the first song they played was one of my favorite's, "Teenage Politics".
After the show had ended, I felt slightly empty. I had waited years and months for that night, and it was over in the blink of an eye. Although I was sad that the show was over, I felt completely content. Now, when I hear their songs, I get to remember what it felt like to hear the band perform them live. I can watch the videos and try to wrap my mind around how it was real. Going to my first concert was an unparalleled experience that I will always cherish. The ambiance, the band’s performance and the unity the audience
