Although I love every seasons that we have every year, the one that I love the most is turkey season. The reason why turkey season is my favorite season out of all the other season is because turkey season is very fun to me and it makes me get goosebumps when I hear one gobble every morning. First and foremost, turkey season is my favorite season out of all the other seasons we have every year because when I hear one gobble every morning, I get goosebumps. You can hear one gobble from a long ways away and right away you just want to kill it, but it is very hard to kill a turkey, but it is not impossible. It feels like every time spring comes around, it feels like turkey season is just right around the corner. In addition, you already see
In the essays, “Turkeys in the Kitchen” by Dave Barry, and “Just Walk on By” by Brent Staples, they argue the theme of gender, and racial stereotypes that have been present in our world from the very beginning. Barry suggests through a sarcastic and humors tone that gender stereotypes have been present since before the start of time; he uses a highly conversational style to prove this, as well as narrates to give the reader a better understanding of exactly what he’s talking about. Staples, on the other hand, uses a more authoritative tone to support his theme of racial stereotyping; he also uses the mode of rhetoric exemplification to his benefit, and is able to show the audience that this issue is just as important as the gender stereotypes that take place in our society still today. Barry believes that despite the fact that people are against stereotypes they still will always fall back on them; and Staples believes that people need to change themselves in order to not fit into those common stereotypes. They prove this through the history of gender discrimination in the 19th century factories, and through the 1970-1980’s and also up until today’s racial discrimination in the media. However, if we all hate stereotypes, then why do we always seem to be falling back on them?
In the video “My Life As a turkey”, naturalist Joe Hutto begin an experiment on behaviors of animals, especially turkey. From the birth to the adulthood of the turkey, Hutto stayed with the turkeys side by side to nurture them.
In “Turkeys in the Kitchen,” an essay written by Dave Barry, humor is used as an aid to make a point about the usefulness of men after Women’s Liberation. “A Plague of Tics,” a personal narrative written by David Sedaris, uses a different kind of humor to explain the reasoning behind his behavior. Through these two essays and their author’s personal experiences, humor is presented as a device to captivate reader’s attention and declare the author’s intended meaning.

The third reason I love West Virginia is because we are blessed with a variety of seasons. These beautiful seasons include; spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the spring I love to watch nature as life renews itself all around me. In the summer I love the warm weather as I take a dip in the calm lake. During the fall I love to watch the leaves change colors as I walk through the woods.

During Winter Break I want to, sleep in, go outside and play in the snow (if it even snows) and bake with my friends! Another thing is, sleeping in! Playing in the snow with my family and friends is one of my favorite things to do every Winter. Lastly, baking, especially with my friends are one of the highlights of my break, because, it’s just so much fun, and it’s funny when we burn the cookies! Christmas break is going to be great this
Christmas, I love Christmas, I love shopping for presents for my loved ones, thinking about the gifts I want to give, the wrapping and arranging them under the beautiful Christmas tree. I love the planning and preparing Christmas dinner, filling the house with wonderful fragrant smells hoping everyone comes and has a good time and still talking to each other when they leave. Most of all though, I love the Christmas tree, I love the excitement as the hunt begins for the perfect tree finally when everyone is in agreement we bring it home hoping it’s not too tall too short too fat or too skinny and most important stands up straight. Somehow it always fits and always looks beautiful, I am never disappointed and my tree is always perfect and beautiful.
The purpose of Thanksgiving in Canada is different from the Americans. But even though the reasons for giving thanks are different, many of the customs are the same. Canadian Thanksgiving was originally started to give thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. This was when there were lots of farmers that grew crops. Now we give thanks for everything we appreciate. Some farming families still give thanks for a good crop.
There are four different types of seasons. They are Summer, Spring, Fall, and Winter. They each hold its own period in which they occur. Some days are long and some days are short depending on the season. Different weather, daylight hours, holidays, and different events are all events in which occur throughout the season. The events that can occur also depends on what’s the season. In each season, there are different activities that can be accomplished. For example, some seasons contain certain holidays that occur in them like Christmas, which only happens in the winter. There are a numerous amount of great activities to do during each season, but one specific season tops all of them. Out of all of the seasons, winter is the best season.
Winter is often polled as the least popular season in America, with people despising the frigid morning, the snow hugging the roads, and frost covered windshields. However, people do so because they overlook the greatest parts of winter. When focusing on the beautiful scenery, festive mood, and what the cold brings, winter is one of the better if not the best season that people get to experience.
SEASONS, THEY HAPPEN ABOUT THE SAME TIME EVERY YEAR. Everyone has a favorite season it could be fall, winter or any other season. For me I like fall the most because the weather is not too hot or too cold. Fall is a favorite season of mine because of young life, marching band, and the trips I get to go on.
If I had to choose my favorite season it would be a very difficult choice. All four seasons are unique in their own special way, such as the climate, scenery, and activities. Although I enjoy the warmer months of summer, I also enjoy the cooler months of winter. In a sense, I have narrowed my favorite seasons down to two; summer and winter.
Beyond the joy that causes cold and the snow coming season, there are other reasons to expect more interesting winter.
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it’s the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you’re free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together.
