I was dispatched to a call of an erratically driven black Dodge pickup truck at the North Beach area doing donuts in the parking lot. As I was en-route my partner and I remembered a contact from the previous night, involving Joseph Grass. He too was driving a black Dodge truck exhibiting erratic behavior. As I turned on to Kuhn St., I observed a black Dodge truck sitting in the middle of the road, with its headlights on. As I pulled up next to the truck I observed that it was Joseph Grass, and he was again slumped over the wheel of the truck. I called for an Aid Unit to respond and I turned my patrol car around in the street and turned on my emergency lights. As I was stopping my patrol car Joseph’s head shot up and he started to drive off (this is the same thing Joseph did when I found him last night). I followed Joseph for a block and he stopped again at the stop sign and I contacted him there. …show more content…
But that he was wet from his arm pits to his toes. Joseph told me he had been in the water several hours ago in his clothes. I asked him why he was stopped in the middle of the road and he denied he was stopped in the road slumped over the wheel, not noticing me in my police car, with the lights on. That is reminiscent of the previous nights stop; when he was slumped over the wheel of his car in the middle of the road, when he did not react to my patrol car lights, my flash light in his face or verbal challenges. That night he took off with me standing next to his window, as if I were not there. Again he denied being in a catatonic like state in the middle of the
On 01-01-17 at 0023 hours I was monitoring the radio and heard that Officer Harrell #3441 and Officer Thebeau #8402 were involved in a vehicle pursuit in the area of Fair Oaks Avenue and Corson Street. I responded to the above location to assist. They advised responding units that the suspect was involved in a traffic collision on the eastbound 210 Freeway Fair Oaks Avenue off-ramp.

On a normal work night at Pete’s Pizza, two co-workers decided to switch shifts. Kayla Cutler asked Gabie Klug to work a Wednesday evening, so she could have Friday evening off. That night Kayla and Drew are working, a man named “John Robertson” called in to order three large meat monster pizzas to be delivered to 1091 River Road which is a fake address. He asked if the girl in the mini cooper was making deliveries, the one driving the mini cooper is Gabie, but since Gabie isn’t there, Kayla had to go make the delivery. Kayla takes the order and never comes back, so Drew got worried and decided to call the police and file a report, for a missing person. As time passes, Drew told Gabie that the guy who ordered had asked for the girl driving
Peterbilt When our country was at war, the military identified the need for trucks. Trucks were very important because it was difficult to find a way to transport all the supplies, troops, and food. After WW1, this brought an increase in good roads, plus an expanding economy. This helped grow the trucking industry. The 1920’s were the years of innovation.
On May 22, 1990 two Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies were responding to a call to break up a fight. While returning to their cars one of the officers, Murray Stapp noticed a motorcycle moving at rather high speeds. Mr. Blighton then ran to the passenger side door, which was slightly open to see if the woman had a pulse when he could not feel one he then ran to get help. He finally came to a house and told them to call for help. Thomas Stewart Duffy Jr was on duty that night at Washington County Fire District Number One. The call came in roughly at 8:44 that night. The following day, a fisherman was at the Treeland Blvd. pond when he spotted some stuff floating in the water. Upon closer inspection he noticed it was firefighters gear and figured something must be wrong since firefighters do not just leave their equipment. The police had the pond drained and found a green Chevy truck at the bottom. Inside the truck was a substantial amount of blood; when the blood was tested it was that of Brandy Hall. The amount of blood in the cab of the truck makes it unlikely she will be found alive. The woods around the pond were also searched but nothing more was found.
The United States of America is known for the equality that is provided, on the surface, however not every person is actually equal to another. In Two Scavengers in a Truck, Two Beautiful People in a Mercedes written by Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Ferlinghetti describes a scenario that seamlessly displays the differences between people in American societies. There are two scavengers which are garbage men that are on their way home, and two beautiful people, on their way to their architect’s office. The garbage men’s day ends but the young couple’s is only beginning. Ferlinghetti compares the two pairs in detail, then seems to ask at the end of the poem whether America really is a “democracy”. The comparisons show how the idea that the democracy of the U.S.A (United States of America) is believed that each and every person is to be equal, but under the surface that Ferlinghetti has provided the differences are easily discovered. The groups who are not of equal status perfectly show that the democracy that America takes pride in does not really fulfill the dream illustrated.
Alejandro is a four-year-old child who attends kindergartner in a school in the Bronx. There is one book, which he loves to read and always carries with him in his book bag when he comes to visit. Due to the barrier of language between Alejandro and his mother whom only speaks Spanish he does not get the opportunity to read books in English with his mother. Alphabet Trucks by Samantha R. Vamos introduces the reader to different types of trucks while learning the alphabet at the same time. During our time together we read the book and incorporated the PEER sequence strategy, which involves and encourages the child to read. I began by reading the title and the author of the book, which Alejandro repeated with me. I then turned the book to the
I arrived and found the victim, Kenneth Kirby, identified by his California identification card, and the suspect, Christine Wakefield, also identified by her California identification card, both standing in the front yard. Wakefield was crying, and I could see that her right cheek appeared to be swollen. Kirby was visibly upset and had swelling and a cut over his left eye. He also appeared to have a bloody nose. I asked Wakefield to step back and wait over by the house, but she told me, "I called you."

It was a typical Monday morning as I drove home from work, exhausted from having to perform more than twenty four hours of duty. Windows down, Oakley sunglasses adorn my tiresome face to block the shimmer of sunlight from my sensitive eyes. Anxiously looking forward to the softness of my pillow, I pushed the accelerator to the floor propelling my car into overdrive. Zipping by the night club Area 151 was when I notice him lying on the ground, motionless. With tires screeching I quickly came to unrehearsed stop, the rush of adrenaline and flashes of my military training captivated my mind, transferring me into autopilot. As I ran over to his location yelling “hey buddy are you ok” following the ABC’s of first aid, I could not help but notice the large pool of blood from the deep laceration on his face, the twisted front wheel of his bicycle, and a strong stench of alcohol coming from his liquor stained John Sport backpack. “All my beers are broken” was all he muttered as he fell trying to get regain his footing, relieved that the fellow was alive I immediately called the police. As I spoke to the paramedics on the situation I could not help but ask myself “how could someone be so intoxicated at this time
