Tropical Rainforest Research Paper

This is my biome project I picked the Rainforest because I like the animals in the forest like lizards, birds, sloths and jaguars.Also I like the plants in the Rainforest because they are cool and colorful and here are some flowers that are in the Rainforests like the lilies, heliconia and the bromeliads.

The largest rainforests are in the Amazon River Basin South America, the Congo River Basin western Africa, and throughout much of southeast Asia. Smaller rainforests are located in Central America, Madagascar, Australia and nearby islands, India, and other locations in the tropics.This region was once entirely covered with rainforest, but large areas have been cleared for cattle ranching and for sugar cane plantations. Like other major rainforests, the jungles and mangrove swamps of Central America contain many plants and animals found nowhere else. Central America is famous for its large number of tropical birds, including many kinds of parrots.

The tropical rainforest is a forest type that captures huge attention from the public. It is undoubtedly one of the most fascinating interactions between climate, vegetation and organisms, and soil that exists in the world today. The rainforests which previously occupied up to 24 million square kilometres today occupy only some 10

million square kilometres on either side of the equator. The main areas of this immensely important rainforest are: the Amazon basin, Central Africa, mainly involving Zaire, and Southeast Asia.These are the ideal conditions for lush plant growth.
If you would go to the rainforest you would see these types of animals a sloth, parrots, monkeys, jaguars and toucans.The plants that they have in a rainforest are banana trees, coffee trees, brazil nut trees, rubber trees and cacao trees.

Many animals are essential in the reproductive processes of forest plants. Bats are known to be pollinators of more than 300 plant species (many of which are economically important as timber, fuel, fiber, medicine, or dyes). In Southeast Asia, bats pollinate popular forest fruits such as durian, banana and mango (Payne, 1995). Nectar-feeding birds and insects such as beetles, bees, and wasps are even more important than bats in tropical

forests.
Tropical Rainforest. One of the most fascinating biomes on planet Earth is the tropical rainforest. It is filled with tall trees, interesting plants, giant insects, and all sorts of animals. As you might have guessed from the name, rainforests are forests that get a lot of rain.Lower down are tree ferns and similar short trees, and next there is the forest floor - dark but far from lifeless.These are the organisms that produce the source of food for the community. Producers are usually green plants and are essential for the survival of the community.
I learned that it has interesting stuff like the plants and animals.Also the rainforest has cool colors like purple, red and blue.Also the rainforest are all over the world.Also there are cool trees like banana trees and cacao trees and also brazil nut trees and coffee trees.Also i learned that rainforest only cover around 2 percent the total surface area of the Earth, but really about 50 percent of the plants and animals.
