The rainforest is full of forests and trees, dripping with water, hence the name. There are swampy parts and there are very few plants that can survive under the canopy layer. The rainforest can be found in between the tropic of Capricorn and the tropic of Cancer. It appears only on 6% of the Earth’s surface and around the equator. The largest rainforest today is the Amazon Rainforest is 2.1 million miles and would rank the 9th if it was a country. There is no fertile soil because it is washed out with rain. The first layer is the ground layer and is filled with bugs and a few plants. Next comes the lower layer and then the understory. Following is the canopy and that is which most lives thrives. It can release about 200 gallons of water a year. Then the emergent layer is where the sunlight is the most.

a few cold Rainforests scattered here and there, though. The average climate barely passes over 95 degrees and does not pass below 64 degrees fahrenheit. The rainforest has year round warmth which means it is summer all the time. It gets 12 hours a day of sunlight which is pretty long considering other areas. Hence the name, the rainforest gets 80 inches of rain a year and it rains 200 out of 365 days a year. The rain usually starts at noon and ends in early evening. The temperature is very humid and wetm so the average temperature is 78 degrees fahrenheit. The rainforest is one of the smallest of biomes yet ⅓ of the animals and plants species of earth are living in the rainforest.
There are roughly 10 million animal species and 3000 fruits or plants alive in the rainforest. 70% of these organisms live in the thick layer of canopy up in the wet trees. In the canopy, there are many other animals, water, and shelter from the rain. In the rainforest, there are primate animals such as the slow sloth, monkeys, gorillas and such. There are fruit and plant which include cocoa beans, avocados, algae, figs, that supply food for the natives. The most stunning is the parasitic rafflesia flower that is the biggest in the world. It uses it’s vines to reach in the host’s cells to eat. It is hanging on the cliff of extinction with major problems such as only living for a few days. The most populated are bugs, ants, mites, lichen, and the predator anteaters. There is the caiman, rhinoceros, snakes and other predators like leopards. The birds are of beauty like the beautiful parrots, toucans and hummingbirds. Fish and water reptiles live in the Amazon River and near
lakes.
The rainforest is rained on constantly and experiences very warm temperatures, allowing for a profusion of animals and plants. The energy that is received is from the sun, converted to chemical energy by plants through photosynthesis. The process of photosynthesis is a source of food for consumers and produces oxygen for organisms. Producers of the Amazon would be plants, flowers, fruits, leaves, plankton, insects, larvae, and spiders. For example, A lot of water is released from the leaves of canopy trees during transpiration which explains the rainfall. The seeds and leaves feed many species of consumers. The trees are extremely tall and trap about 80% of sunlight. Many plants and animals live in or on the marsh grass surface because its roots and stalks protect them.
Rainforest can be very moist, hot, and humid due to all of the rainfall. The average rainfall is
Tropical rainforests are an extremely unique and diverse ecosystem that are located around the earth’s equator. They once covered roughly 7% of the world, but due to human encroachment that has dwindled to just 2%. It is a highly moisture rich environment that typically receives anywhere between 60 and 400 inches of rainfall annually and average humidity ranges from 70 to 90%. A high average year round temperature, coupled with the moisture rich environment, creates an ecosystem that allows for a level of biodiversity seen nowhere else on the planet. This also results in a specific type of layering design that allows the system to survive and recycle its nutrients.
The major functions of the rain forest is they help stabilize the world’s climate, provide home to many plants, animals, and even people, and protect against floods, droughts, or erosions. Tropical rain forests have a characteristic structure that is made up of a number of vertical layers that reach up from the forest floor to the very tops of the tallest trees (Unknown). The major layers of the rain forest are the ground, canopy, understory, and overstory level. Each level have their own plant and species that may live t...

Tropical rainforest can be found near the the equator, the average rainfail is over 110 inches per year and consistently in warm temperature at about 25°C to 27C° and vary little from month to month (Molles, 2005). This warm temperature creates suitable condition for plant growth and variety of animal species to live there. The condition of rainforest made it can harboured higher diversity of organism than any other terrestrial biome. Even it only cover over two percent of earth surface but at least half of plant and animal species has be recorded from all over the world in tropical rainforest (Corlett and Primack, 2008).
In South America lies the largest and most wondrous rainforest in the world, the Amazon Rainforest. This 1.4 billion acre forest represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and comprises the largest and most bio-diverse tract of rainforest in the world. Ten percent of all known species on the planet are found in this rain forest, most of which have yet to be discovered. For the past century, the Amazon has been gradually decreasing in size due to agricultural expansion, ranching, infrastructure projects, energy exploration and illegal logging. In its current state, the Amazon is losing land equal to the size of the state of Delaware every year.

Almost half of the world's species of plants, animals and microorganisms will be destroyed or severely threatened over the next quarter century due to rainforest deforestation.
Sixteen percent of the E arh’s land is rainforess. The rainfores houses all sors of differen ype s of life. Both plants and animals thrive in the rainforest ’s climate . So many different species of plants and animals live in the rainforests that it is impossible to know all of them. The rainforests can be a mystery , and part of that mystery is found in the ir lost civilizations. While the rainforest can hide the evidence of these civilizati ons, humans have ways to uncover them. Whether it is with technology or being uncovered by deforestation, many lost civilizations have already
Tropical rainforests have many species of plants and animals. They are very interesting and many scientists today study it. Rainforests are an important part of our environment and it is important for us to protect it. That’s why we have to stop global warming.
The Amazon rainforest has many problems.
