Recommended: Benefits of using electric cars essay
Renewable energy is energy from a source such as wind, rain, or solar power.
Today, people try to find resources that do not impact on the ozone, or cost a large amount of money. Moreover, most people are not happy with unclean air, which causes an unhealthy environment to live in, and one of the reasons that make unclean air is a fossil fuel. There are millions of cars run daily, so they make the area impure; therefore, the electric cars are the solution for this problem. Electric cars powered by electric motors, and using renewable energy instead of gasoline, are more helpful. One author argues that electric cars are more useful than traditional cars to protect the environment, especially when they depend on the source that used.
In the article “ How Green Are Electric Cars?

Depends on Where you Plug In,” Paul Stenquist (2012) stresses electric cars are much better than gasoline cars to prevent from pollution depending on the source of the energy that they use.
Stenquist explains electric cars might get their energy from coal, wind, nuclear, and solar sources; in addition, these capabilities which improve the environment by reducing the detrimental sources. Stenquist (2012) asserts that electric cars can better reduce the global warming emissions from the gases, which result in a cleaner environment (p. 2). Furthermore, the author interviews several people to …show more content…
get their opinion about the electric cars; one of the interviewees emphasizes even if the electric cars running with coal is better than gasoline cars. Finally, Stenquist concludes his article with a quote, which means that people need to change some basically changes to avert the consequences that the global warming cause, and in the future, the electric cars will become cleaner than gasoline cars without changing in technology. Stenquist (2012) states that gasoline cars and electric cars continue to improve in technology; however, using the best type of energy sources in electric cars, it may make them preferable than the traditional cars. For example, there are two electric cars, and one of them works with coal source and the other one uses solar source; as a result, the electric car which using the solar energy is superior and more useful in reducing pollution than the other one, and this electric car can be more appropriate for the environment. Heinberg (2016) affirms that most of people agree about replace coal with solar and wind source since it is the easiest way to reduce pollution, and people can use it as much as they need (P. 23). In other words, people might cool and heat the buildings by using electric air source, or using electric stoves instead of gas cooking stoves to protect the environment. Heinberg means that replace the gasoline in electric cars by one of the energy sources could be better for people and the environment. For instance, if we reduce oil and all people drove the electric cars, we will take a large amount of money and time, but at the end will result energy and saving money. Furthermore, Stenquist (2012) describes California is much cleaner than Denver because of the energy sources that they use (P.1). As an example, California uses solar energy, which people get it from the sun, and this makes the air in the environment healthy. On the other hand, Denver uses coal source by burning plants, so this could cause air pollution. Therefore, electric cars might protect the environment from pollution greater than gasoline cars. To sum up, electric cars are more useful than traditional cars, even if they use different sources such as coal and wind energy because these sources will improve the air from pollution.
In addition, replacing the gasoline with one of the energy could enhance the global warming from the worst consequences. In my opinion, when people use the electric cars, their lives might be simple and straightforward based on the source they use because people can charge the electric cars at home. In the future, people will use renewable energy in their lives and everything might use any sources rather than
gasoline.
The Automotive, or electric car industry particularly, comprises all those companies and activities involved in the manufacture of electric motor vehicles (EV), including most components, such as engines, bodies and rechargeable batteries or another energy storage device. The industry’s principal products are passenger automobiles. Despite the fact that the first electric cars were produced in 1880s , the advances in internal combustion engines, especially the electric starter, soon diminished the relative advantages of the electric car and became the dominant design in the market. Due to this the EV was almost a forgotten industry staying in the early stage of development, conforming to less than 1% of the automotive stock
Automobiles play a major role in today's society. Almost every American owns at least one motorized transportation vehicle. Some say they make our lives better by reaching places faster than before. Others say they are a harmful to the environment. Have they made our society better or worse? They may be fast, but do we as humans want our environment to suffer because of time. Face it, cars pollute. And they release destructive chemicals into the air. Air pollution can threaten the health of many subjects in the environment including human beings.
Imagine that you’re driving on an open highway in the middle of summer. All you see in front of you is asphalt for miles and miles. The windows are down and your favorite song comes on the radio. You’re behind the wheel of a Tesla Model S, the newest electric car that can go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 2.4 seconds. This will soon be the future of all motor vehicles. Electric cars are beginning to have colossal impacts on our society because of their energy efficiency, performance benefits, and the fact that they are less harmful to the environment. In the near future, electric cars will dominate the road and eventually the planet’s overall need for oil will decrease immensely.
A revolutionary environmental impact to pollution is provided by electric cars which produce zero emissions and provide a replenishable fuel resource. Toxic emissions into our earth’s environment would be reduced immediately as gas powered, pollution emitting vehicles are replaced with non-polluting, battery powered vehicles. Not only will pollution be reduced, but the means that power these vehicles are a renewable resource. Electricity can now be created by environmentally safer means, such as hydro-electric dams, wind farms, and various types of power plants proving a sound resource. With a safer, less polluting, renewabl...
Environmental concerns have been raised from time to time because of the dependency on the gasoline-fueled engine as the chief auto powertrain technology. This has resulted in exposing many automobile users to unpredictable prices of fuel. These issues were, however, the reason for the inception of Tesla Motors so as to bring into existence another set of automotive which serves the similar purpose; but uses another form of energy that being electricity to drive them instead of the disadvantageous gasoline-powered engine. This invention was influenced by a number of factors in terms of their planning and performance (Hunger, 2010).
Purchasing a car is one of the hugest or biggest accomplishments that a person can achieve on their own. However, what happens when that purchase turns out to also be the worst decision that was ever made? The purchase was a success and a goal was achieved, but the moment the key is turned and the engine is started the contribution to environmental harm begins. As the car is driven, the gasoline fumes that are released from the car contribute to the other many factors and pollutants that damage the environment. Not only is the purchase now a contributor to the depletion of clean air, but it could also play a part in the depletion of someone’s health. For example, asthma or bronchitis could develop in an adult or child as a direct result of breathing in noxious automotive fumes. Depending on where one lives, there could be strict regulations on air pollution. One must be accountable for any and all contributions made to the demise of what was once a healthy Earth. One must be accountable for his or her own carbon footprint. Some individuals have taken steps to reduce their carbon footprints and cause less harm to the environment by purchasing electric cars.
Hybrid vehicles, which are environmentally friendly vehicles, which will replace fossil fueled car in the future but they currently have a limited range and long fueling time. As fossil fuel resources start to become limited and non-environmentally friendly, car manufacturers are looking to find ways to make hybrid vehicles the future of transportation. Hybrid vehicles are beneficial since they are efficient, reduce pollution, and cut global emission than the current hybrids models. As such, hybrid-electric vehicles can have substantial public benefits for both the environment and for energy security. Hybrid vehicles can help reduce smog pollution by ninety percent or more in comparison to the cleanest conventional vehicles today. Hybrids
I bet you didn't know that the first cars made were all mostly electric. But as time passed gas powered cars became more popular through the years. There were few if any electric cars available as timed moved on. Everyone believed that gas powered vehicles were more convenient than the electric powered ones. I believe that gas powered vehicles are better because gas powered cars have more function ability. The range that electric vehicles have is poor compared to gas vehicles. Electric vehicles don't function very well when the weather is cold. You'll need to charge your car pretty much every night. You are only going to be able to go 80 mph. If you go up a big hill your range goes down. electric vehicles (rather ev's) do pollute but they don't pollute the same way that gas cars pollute.
Depends on Where You Plug In”, Paul Stenquist (2012) illustrates that electric cars can release greenhouse gases or can not because it depends on how the electricity that is used to recharge the cars was generated from. According to Stenquist (2012) if the electric cars are recharged by the electricity that is generated from renewable energy like nuclear and solar power, the cars would have zero for carbon footprint. Also the electricity that is generated from natural gas that would produce carbon less than coal. Carbon footprint is the total amount of gas carbon dioxide, one of the greenhouse gases, that the cars release or spend. The author also gives an example to show how charging electric cars at Denver and California are different in amount of carbon footprints. Reports from EPA and U.C.S. are used by Stenquist (2012) to support that the carbon footprints that the cars made are different depend on the sources of electricity that recharge the cars. However, the chief excusive of Nissan at that time declared that it does not matter what is the electricity that recharge the cars generated from, electric cars are still better in the way that can reduce emission than the best of gasoline car model can
Most people today fill up their car with different qualities of petrol, because that's what the average car takes. They don't usually consider an alternative for the petrol that they load into their cars. Although petrol is widely used, it is not the only source for a car to get its power from; diesel and electricity are alternatives to the general petrol used by most cars. Although different from each other, diesel and electricity are alternatives to the average gasoline received at a gas station. Diesel is a more concentrated type of fuel that is usually used by big automobiles because they require a lot of power in a little amount of time. Electricity is a method that uses the power of batteries to produce a low horsepower but, nevertheless fast automobile. Electric cars are generally created to be soundless and environment friendly. The purpose of this paper is to classify and educate the reader of the different types of fuel available for an automobile to use: petrol, diesel, and electricity. The general petrol, used by most people, is usually the only type of fuel accepted on the average car in the United States today.
Today, people use their own personal vehicles to travel more than ever before. Personal transportation is no longer considered a luxury; it is now considered a necessity. The number of cars in the United States has been growing steadily since the 1970s. The number of miles traveled by cars has risen nearly 150 percent, yet the United States population has only grown roughly 40 percent during that time (hybridcars.com, Driving Trends). Although it may seem like we are advancing into the future, in reality, we are moving backwards from the effects these vehicles have on our bodies and the environment. The pollution produced by these vehicles has brought us to the day where we must find other modes of transportation that cause less harm to the world in which we live. Advances in technology have developed hybrid vehicles to try and slow down the amount of pollution. Driving a hybrid vehicle, instead of a conventional gas powered vehicle, can reduce the amount of pollution that affects our lives and the environment around us.
In our modern society, nearly every person above the age of 16 drives a car, and I'm sure there are those that drive other things like cars too, such a tractors and combines that would be used for farming. All these cars giving off toxic emissions is clearly bad for the environment, it adds to the pollution that has already been instilled in the air from other sources, like large factories spewing smoke into the air. Thankfully people were able to realize that not only driving gas powered cars was bad, but that there are alternatives. The one solution to this that everyone thinks about are electric cars. The common misconception of electric cars though, is that they are "good" for the environment, which is clearly not true. You might say, "Sure,
(Commission, 2002) At the end of it all you ended up using only 15 percent to move your car which is a full tank of gasoline depending on the car it could mean 10 to 20 gallons of gasoline, while an electric vehicle uses about half as much fossil fuel in the form of electricity from the fossil-fuel burning plants. The fifth reasons are that gasoline car requires oil change which could damage the environment because of improper use or care from the die-hard do-it-yourself people that think nothing of the environment and not properly recycle the filter parts or the oil itself. An electric vehicle has little moving part like the motor and all other electric motor doesn’t need oil meaning less maintenance and only need electricity from renewable power generator or some greenhouse plants. As for the sixth reasons, Electric vehicle does less damages to the ozone pollution, the water because no oil is needed, less minerals material like steel and copper meaning less digging into the
Introduction The next era is here, and everyone is talking about how autonomous cars are going to be the future of this country. In just a few years they will be everywhere on American roadways, but just like any other engineering project this new technology has brought many concerns to the public. Even though people tend to risk their lives everyday behind the wheel, they still do not view the risk equivalent or greater then driverless cars. Not only will the Self-driving cars be safer, but they will be beneficial in plenty of other ways.
Electric cars were recently introduced to the auto world. They are very fuel efficient while still having all the practicalities of a regular car. They are quiet and have zero emissions. They also are cheaper to maintain and cheaper to own then a gas powered car. Even though car enthusiasts dislike the idea of going fully electric, it is a very conscientious choice. Electric cars might seem like a useless form of transportation, but they offer features that help keep the Earth clean.
