Toys can be fun but it can also be dangerous. There is a higher risk for ages 3 and under to be within that danger zone be used they are always putting things in their mouth which can lead to choking. Research has shown the increase of children ending in the hospital because of toys injuries. For toy injuries to decrease there guidelines that should be follow starting off with the manufactures. When a toy is being created they would put labels on the toy so the buyer knows age group. If the buyer gets a toy it's also their responsibility to follow certain guidelines, for example if a toy is made of fabric it should be labeled as flame resistant or flame retardant, art material should say nontoxic and stuff should be washable. The toy buyer has to make sure the toy is appropriate for certain child depending on the child's age. But what if the child comprehends or is advance and can handle toys that are for older kids, what do you do? When a toy buyer is purchasing a toy for a child the first thing that should pop into their head is safety, so they need to make sure that the toy has an appropriate age for the child therefore when a company makes a toy they make it for a specific age not intelligent. Once the toy has been bought and given to the child it's very important for the children to know how to use the toy.

1) The rock and Roll wagon is 6-36 month which is appropriate for a child in this age group. The toys that are in the rock 'n roll wagon are connected to it which won't allowed the child to put any objects in their mouth.
2) This toy is appealing for a child in this age group because it does so many different things that capture their attention, for example they can pull the wagon will it plays music or they can sit down and play with the cars that are connected to it.
3) Parents would most likely choose this toy because it helps their children develop certain skills. One of the skills that they are using is figuring out how to use objects inside the wagon which is also called problem-solving.
4) I would select this toy for a child in this age group because it's an educational toy but it allows them to have fun in the same time.

Toy stores are perfect places for a sociologist to use their sociological imagination. Gendering and racism is thought to be something that is socially constructed as opposed to biologically constructed. Gendering starts during infancy, and around 2 years old children start to internalize these gender differences. I argue that children’s toys help socialize children into gender specific roles. Toy stores, like Target and Toys R Us help us understand what types of toys help to gender children. I will explain how the toys in the toy aisles differ and compare. Educators need to provide not just one but a whole range experiences if they want to build a secure foundation for future learning. By giving children fun, hands on experiences they learn and practise new skills that they can they develop and become more complex over time. The Race Car Numbers game is a game that will help the child with his numbers one through twelve.
