Right now one of the biggest things that is happening in Panama is the economic growth, a start of new businesses adding to this a big factor that is tourism, and Boca’s is 2nd most famous and visited place in Panama that people want to encountered.
It has been calculated that almost all the visitors that go to Boca’s are mainly people from United States or Europe, also what happens is the people come from Costa Rica to Panama to visit. The reason for this kind of visitors is because of the different weathers other countries in which Panama is unique of having. Other reasons may be that they don’t have access to the sea, fauna, flora and beaches. There is evidence of this, based on the massive tours in Boca’s that are made by people from Costa Rica that say that basically Boca’s is part of Costa
The area is neither scenic nor remarkable in any way. No stoic landmasses rise up from the ocean depths to form islands. Essentially, to the naked eye, there is nothing that may be seen. Actually, it's rather boring.
Easy going Guadalajara, Mexico's second city is the area's best-known destination, packed with elegant buildings and surrounded by scenic country. Further afield the land spreads spectacularly green and mountainous, studded with volcanoes and lakes, including Lake Chapala. There are many Fiestas around here and there are among the most vital in Mexico, and there's a legacy of village handicrafts that survives from the earliest days of conquest.
Although Costa Rica did not have the prettiest water, it was still great for paddle-boarding. After getting away from the shore, the water was much clearer. It was actually a beautiful dark blue. This made for the best deep sea fishing. Another amazing thing to do in Costa Rica is a jungle tour. Whether it be by walking or ziplining, seeing all the different types of animals and plants was truly amazing. Unfortunately, Bonaire did not have the exotic jungles, but it did have many other interesting things to do. Because it is surrounded by the most gorgeous water, Bonaire is a scuba diver’s paradise. It is also a great place to snorkel. Below the water’s surface is a whole other world of beautiful sea creatures. Under water is the best place to be in Bonaire. Disappointingly, the landscape of Bonaire is not as marvelous as Costa Rica. Of course, any view with the turquoise water is exquisite, but the island itself is just a enormous desert. Driving around the island was one of the only things to do. The eastern coast is lined with rocks, which causes giant waves. Another thing that you will see on your drive around the island is the salt farms. Bonaire creates its own sea salt. The areas where the salt is made looks like enormous pink lakes. Although Bonaire did not have the most beautiful landscape like Costa Rica, it did have an amazing ocean

These beaches provide a place of rest and relaxation from the minute person steps on to one. One in particular that is the most famous of all of Puerto Rico would the Flamenco beach. This is the most attractive. The sand is warm as the summer sun and so soft your feet just sink. The water is crystal blue and shimmers as the sun sets on it. Even as the sun sets you can still see the coral reef with a spectrum of colors throughout these reefs house exotic fish and birds.
In summary, the small country of Costa Rica has always been a highly sought after vacation spot. However, the influx of drugs and the deforestation have caused tourists, including myself, to question the desirability. Nonetheless, according to Forbes, Costa Rica is “The Happiest Place on Earth. Its national conservation policies, small ecological footprint, high quality of life and life expectancy rate are all exceedingly above par.”(Greenstein) I feel that Costa Rica would be an intriguing place to visit because of its vibrant landscapes and the abundance of incredible Catholic Churches.

Chantal (in the interview) said “living in Americans is not enough for the husband income to meet monthly bills. Panamanian women gather at Franklin Avenue in a social organization, clubs and discuss they political, economic problems, and news from Panama. There are a lot of Panamanian women who has a decent job and are able to work today. There are gradually improved immigrants who are able to purchase a house, cars, and modern appliances, or rent larger apartments in more prosperous neighborhoods. In my next research I would be looking into, what make Panama “Dubai of the Americans”?

Pattullo report gives a first-hand account as to who controls each segment of the tourism industry; the tour operations, the large hotel chains, and the airline companies. The Caribbean’s economy depends on an industry that is mostly foreign-owned and controlled and the people who live there do not have an opportunity of owning or investing in it. In Pattullo’s report, it reveals that the large travel industry corporations are the ones who have most of the control. But those corporations are not located there. Her report exposes that the true benefiters of tourism in the Caribbean are foreign-owned investors and corporations.
The nearby Huichol Wixarika Museum, which mainly offers an insight into the ancient indigenous community, showcases an array of original Huichol handicrafts. Have you ever considered taking a trip outside of the United States? If yes, let me take you to a country called Costa Rica. Now the reason I say Costa Rica is because it was a country I had no prior knowledge about, I did not even know where it was located until I did my research. After looking into this country a little deeper I wanted to know more about it like; the general overview, a brief history, the geography, the political system, the economic system, and lastly the cultures and subcultures of Costa Rica. Once I was able to dig deeper I found out that Costa Rica is a very interesting country with fun and exciting adventures waiting like hiking next to a volcano at night, rappelling down a waterfall, or ever soaking in a hot spring.

The reason why tourism looks attractive (and thus turns a blind eye) to these Caribbean countries is because of “its potential to foster GDP growth, to create employment, to increase foreign exchange earnings, and attract capital investment” (Daye, Chambers, and Roberts 2).... ... middle of paper ... ... Fletcher does make it a point to show that tourism is not “necessarily the handmaiden of capitalism expansion, merely that the industry as a whole plays an instrumental role in this respect” (447).
