30-year old Toula has already passed her expiration date based of her Greek background as what has been said in the first scene in the movie, her family dreamed about her wedding ever since she was 15 years old, but she never found the one. Toula’s father always keeps remanding her that she’s old and she should get married because most women in the Greek culture marry young, so they can breed more babies. Due to the unfortunate cause she started working at her family restaurant housing and dining just like every nice Greek woman who didn’t find a husband. One morning, the handsome Lan Miller walked into her family restaurant and here where the spark of their love began. She almost stumbled when she first saw him and paralyzed in front of his table for a couple of minutes till she realized her situation and immediately she ran away out of shame.
