Since 2005, the electronic music festival Tomorrowland has become one of the largest in Europe and worldwide. The Tomorrowland festival holds over three days on 27, 28 and 29 at the end of July. It takes place every year as the recreational area at De Schorre Boom, near Antwerp in Belgium.
Tomorrowland takes place each year in a park with restaurants, cocktail bars, open bar and a nice lake crossed by wooden bridges and swans paddle shaped spaces. 15 scenes spread over the vast hilly terrain or stands Tomorrowland main stage has a natural arena for more than 30 000 places and its front is nearly 100m long and 35m high. Other scenes are installed in an underground tunnel, on a terrace on the water and in the capitals of colors. Every night from 23 hours, fireworks are fired simultaneously for several scenes and make repeat the general euphoria.
The first festival of Tomorrowland was held the 14 August 2005. Some great names of electronic music have participated such as David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Push Mike, Cor Fijneman, Yves Deruyter, Technoboy, and Coone. The visitors were 10,000. The firth edition of Tomorowland was the first big one with 100,000 visitors. Famous performers were present like Chuckie, the Sweedish House Mafia, Dada Life, Robert Sanchez and again David Guetta. David Guetta and the Sweedish House Mafia broke chart records and were responsible for a mass frenzy during two days. The 2011 edition of Tomorrowland marked the festival's development to three days. Just a few times after the official sale of tickets started, Tomorrowland was entirely sold out and had over 180,000 visitors. Nervo, David Guetta, Avicii, the Swedish House Mafia, Tiësto, Carl Cox, and Brodinski was perfo...

Tomorrowland has received universal praise for its choice of festival cuisine. Food ranges from hot dogs and pizza to oyster and Belgian chips (French fries) with a wide choice for vegetarians and vegans. Those eating and drinking in the VIP area are also eligible for free massages. The festival operates on a coupon system, in 2012 prices were 10€ for 7 coupons, 2 coupons to Drink Beers and 1,5 coupon for a Soda. People can also buy the Booze bag which is composed by 35 coupons and costs 50€. People are allowed to take their own provisions into the site, but bottles in glass are forbidden.
Take your own alcohol...seriously. They are going to charge you a fortune for the drinks. If you plan on drinking, the hotel and the water park are all really close together. You can simply go back to your room and make your own drinks. We took our own soda plus a bottle of liquor and saved a fortune! You can also take bottled water along. There is a fridge in the room.
The Woodstock Music & Art Festival took place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 15th, 16th, and 17th, 1969. As you can imagine, a concert like Woodstock would have had to be planned very carefully. It didn’t just happen.
and end on Monday, August 18. The promoters had printed up 60,000 tickets to be sold making it the biggest concert event of it’s time. There was very little promotion of it
The concert I attended was a Junior piano recital held at The Florida State University College of Music in the Dohnanyi Recital Hall. The pianist was Kaisar Anvar. The pieces performed were:
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art has a website that announces its programs. Anyone can easily find and choose a concert. I chose a concert for Sunday July 25, 2010. This concert was emerging artists from Ipalpiti Festibal 2010. It included the four pieces of music that are described below. One of these was Fantasiestucke, Opus 88, both Romanze and Duet were preformed. This concerto was performed by pianist Luiza Borac, violinist Vladimir Dyo, and cellist Yves Dharamraj. The second piece was Ahnung, a new discovery piece from Kinderszenen. This piece was U.S. Premiere, played solo by the pianist Luiza Borac. The third piece was Piano Quartet in E-flat major, Opus 47. This piece was an Andante cantabile piece. This concerto was performed by pianist Luiza Borac, violinist Conrad Chow and Adelya Shagidullina, and Cellist Kian Soltani. The last piece was Piano Quintet in E-flat major, Opus 44. What I discovered about my own musical understanding by attending this concert is the following thing. I know how to appreciate and to enjoy music that is a little bit familiar, but my understanding stops when a very new type of music is performed. I made a conclusion from this experience. My conclusion is that learning about music will increase the pleasure of listening to music, but that musical learning is not, perhaps, as easy as learning subjects like Math or History.
A hand full of the most popular music festivals in the world are based in the United States of America. Today ultra is one of the biggest music festivals in the world. Spreading its roots to other countries you could call ultra a success, that was not so fifteen years ago when creator...

The first person to play was supposed to be Sweetwater but they were stuck in traffic so Richie Havens had to open up the festival. Richie did not want to open the show and kept making up excuses but Michael Lang was not giving up he knew he could do it. At 5:07 pm he sucked it up and went out there and sang his spiritual heartwarming music. He was only suppose to do forty five minutes worth of songs but the crowd wanted more so he went back on stage and sang every song he knew. His last song was called “Freedom” everybody loved it so much that other bands had to do fantastic to compare. (Hilstrom)
In conclusion, the concert was really interesting and I enjoyed myself. In my opinion the two pieces that I really like in this concert, are Sounden Horn and Polonaise from Engine Onegin, the shift between the melodic lines and the element of beauty is what made me like it. In the future I would recommend it to my friends and I will not mind to go with them at all. This kind of music is the best to me by far.
Over this semester, I attended two concerts. The first concert I went to was a performance done by the Swedish band Graveyard at the 9:30 club in DC. The second concert that I went to was at the George Mason Center for Performing Arts. This concert was a jazz competition between bands call The Battle of the Big Bands. Both concerts were performed very well and kept the audience, myself included, very entertained throughout the entire show. In this paper, I will be discussing each individual show in depth, and then continuing on to compare the two concerts.
To begin with the event is in fact held in the San Diego Convention Center which has approximately 1,378,803 sq ft to host vendors, ticketing, panel conversations, etc. This leaving such a large opportunity to view several different booths, panels, and other exciting sites without too much over crowding and constant up in your face conversations. This alone makes the event worth spending ...
Electronic Dance Music, also known as EDM, has increased in popularity over the past few years. The spike in popularity has helped create a bigger industry for EDM event planners. For example, the founder and CEO of Insomniac (a popular EDM event planning company), Pasquale Rotella is worth ten million dollars alone. In the 2014 Electric Daisy Carnival trailer, Rotella said, “Finally, I’ve felt like we’re getting somewhere,” in regards to the popularity and impact of these festivals. Because thousands upon thousands of people attend these festivals and the fact that industry has grown immensely over the past few years, this musicking experience is very significant. Experiencing electronic dance music at the festivals is nothing like listening to it at home.
The environment was quite welcoming, and people felt comfortable with each other. This allowed for the audience to fully enjoy the music without any disruptions. Another factor that made me enjoy the jazz festival was the feel-good music that was played at the festival which served to encourage the audience to get up and dance. Thus, diversification is a significant lesson to grasp when observing music because all music has different origin from another genre and acknowledging this gives the person to become more diverse as an individual.
If someone were to ask people ever wanted to see almost every artist from any genre of music in one place? Of course, anyone would say yes, because most people haven't been to an event like the huge one that happens in California each year. This is an event many people save up all year to attend just maybe once in their life time. The Coachella Music and Arts Festival, it is one of the most talked about festivals that this generation knows about. It is like a whole new world for most people each time they attend.
