Tomi and Keet were very different and similar in many different ways that we wouldn’t even imagine. Their differences can go from race to the characters in the story and how they were used. I’m going to address the differences for both sides first and we can then look at the similarities.
In the beginning of the story, it says that they were in japan and Tomi was Japanese. Later in the story it said that Keet was an American and was a bully towards Tomi. He even tried to destroy his katana which is a really big thing for Japanese people and Tomi must’ve felt hurt. Tomi is such a kind and loving person, but keet is just a bully. Which is awesome because Tomi is the main character and more important than Keet because he isn’t really a needed
character. Now we can look at the similarities and compare them together. They obviously both had to live in Hawaii to be bombed by Japan. Since Keet and Tomi used to be best friends they used to actually care for each other before something ruined that relationship. Even though that they both same ages, they can still act like kids and have the most fun they can have and be the most childish people in the story. Their separation was difficult since they were actually friends. Keet should’ve been there for Tomi when all of these things happened in his life. I determined that since Tomi’s papa was shot and arrested I still don’t understand why Keet would do something that would really hurt Tomi’s religion and his feelings. I also have concluded that Keet should’ve been supportive that his dad was in jail for being Japanese while he was shot and bleeding. Even though that he did something which isn’t gonna be forgotten I personally thought he should’ve done something that would make Tomi forgive him but he didn’t. That was my double bubble map about the two characters that had some conflict. In conclusion this story was a really elaborate story to read and it had a lot of conflict and I liked doing this map. It was so easy to describe these two characters in this map and I could’ve been more descriptive. In the end, Keet and Tomi were two mismatched characters in the story and made the story more joyful and making the readers want to continue to read the enjoyable book.
In the Lilies of the Field by William E. Barrett, Homer and Mother Maria both display straightforward, hardworking, and stubborn character traits. Firstly, Homer and Mother Maria both display a straightforward personality by being brutally honest about their opinions. For example, when Mother Maria asks Homer to build a chapel, Homer speaks his mind by telling her he does not want to build it. Mother Maria shows her straightforward behavior during Homer’s stay at the convent. One morning, when Homer sleeps in late, Mother to becomes extremely upset and is not afraid to show how she feels about him. Secondly, both Homer and Mother Maria display a hardworking spirit. Homer is a hardworking man because after finally agreeing to build the chapel,
In conclusion, Tom and Jabez are two different people but their stories creates similar themes. Those are the unique ways of how they relate to each other including how they dealt with the two
Quests do not need to be started by the most likely people, as long as they put all that they have into it they can still succeed. In both books they share some traits, even though they may not look anything alike they are. both of these novels are dystopian novels and many characters share similarity’s.
In The Big Field, author Mike Lupica explores the theme, "Success uses motivation as fuel." Lupica portrays this theme through the main character, Hutch. Throughout the entire book, Hutch, a young boy that has just recently joined a highly talented baseball team, displays moments that exemplify this main theme. Hutch and his team have a chance to play in the stadium of the Miami Marlins, a Major League Baseball team, as long as they can keep winning games and advancing through a challenging tournament; however, Hutch's favorite position on the field, shortstop, the position located between 2nd and 3rd base, has already been filled on the team. Unfortunately, Hutch gets a demotion from shortstop, to second base, the position located between 1st base and 2nd base. Although Hutch was disappointed and melancholy about the switch in position, he was even more upset about the downgrading of leadership, since the
Some similarities are obviously that they are both slaves who are trying to escape their misery. The characters also have a good relationship with their fathers because they taught them how to care for themselves and what to do when they need
Jeanne and Elie have many similarities and differences. Not only did they both go through the same thing, but they also went through some very different experiences. Jeanna and Elie were around the same age and their emotions were somewhat different because of the different experiences.
Grace is a very sweet and sensitive girl. She made some mistakes herself, but because of her foster parents she got through the tough parts. In Far From the Tree written by Robin Benway, she created a character that had a child in highschool and Her little girl was adopted and has a better life than what Grace could have offered her. Once Grace got told she had a sister named Maya she bursted into joy. Her heart was beating out of her chest when she was emailing Maya to meet up. For example Kate and Kat were similar as their both independent and intelligent individuals who go by their own morals and don't care what anyone else thinks of them. Bianca in both texts is seen as the object of desire' as of her submissive manner and good looks. I used similarities like these ones all throughout 10 things' with only making minor changes.
The play “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry has many interesting characters. In my opinion, the most fascinating character is Ruth because of her many emotions and captivating personality. She goes through extreme emotions in the play such as happiness, sadness, anger, stress, and confusion. Ruth is very independent, firm, kind, witty, and loving.
FN-2817 is an unique name that matches his unique story. FN-2817 or, Finn, is a character who has a start unlike most heroes, he starts at a stormtrooper. The irony of the situation is hilarious because stormtroopers are one of the villains of the movie. Finn’s call to adventure is one unlike any other. His call to adventure is actually when he was on the dark side. His call to adventure is when his Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers went to Jakku. This is the location of his supernatural aid. His supernatural aid came from, oddly enough, Kylo Ren the main antagonist of “The Force Awakens”. Kylo Ren used the force to thwart a shot fired by Poe Dameron, a Resistance fighter. This is one of the reason’s Finn joined to fight against the First Order because he saw other people stand up for what right.
The story that has been created has been inspired by a movie called Muriel’s wedding which was released in 1994. The main character of the story is Rangsei, a young Cambodian female and was adopted by an Australian family. The name ‘Rangsei’ was chosen due to the meaning of the name ‘she who questions’ and is a type of person who lacks in self-confidence. This name relates to the main character as Rangsei is a girl who is trying to find herself and where she belongs. She dwells on the past about how she used to live in the slums, she despises this kind of life which gave her the motive to look forward. Rangsei is seeking acceptance, however, she has low self-esteem but strongly values her ethnicity as a Cambodian. Rangsei views the Australians, as different people because she feels inferior. The main character strongly feels this way that she refers her adoptive parents as “the lady” and “the man”. She views the society that there are social classes and which leads her to believe why someone like them would adopt her. Rangsei sees herself as a low-rank citizen and cannot understand where she fits in her new home, for example, Rangsei says “Why would they want a street rat like me?”. Her independence from when she was a child has created a life of her not knowing what important family values are.

Tomi and Keet are kind of the same, at least in some ways. They are also kind of different. They are different in personalities. Keet in many ways are different, but somehow they are similar in some ways. They do not physically look the same.
