The movie The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift is about a troublesome American teenage student trying to fit in a different country, after some illegal events back at home. Sean Boswell challenged Clay to an illegal street race, where Sean won but as a result, both of their cars were totaled. Clay comes from a higher end family, while Sean came from a lower end. Sean and his mother had to move around a lot due to Sean’s bad behavior. Sean’s mother no longer wanted to move around, but also help Sean out his situation. She had no other choice but to send Sean to live with his father whom is in the military in Tokyo, Japan. Takashi’s (also known as D.K.) background is that his father passed away in the war, so his uncle takes care of him. Sean enjoys racing, the first day he got his license, he got his first speeding ticket. Takashi is noticeable a little bit older than the rest crowd, he also known as the best drifting around, giving him the nickname “D.K”. At the beginning, no one knew Sean, and after his first race against Takashi, he lost much respect for crashing Han’s Mona Lisa. Han made Sean do some side job to pay off the debt. While hanging with Han, Sean received a free car and lessons on how to drift. Sean was terrible at first but slowly he got better. As Sean got closer to Han and his family, he decides to move out from his Dad’s apartment and into Han’s garage. At this point, Sean is pretty good at drifting so he challenges one of Takashi’s friend, Morimoto. In both of their faces, worry was writing all over them. But in the end, Sean took the lead and took the win. Morimoto was in shocked and was screaming his head off, Takashi whom had a bet with Han, lost and was highly upset. As soon as Sean got out of the car, everyone applauded him. Sean noticed Han giving Takashi a mass amount of money. Sean didn’t think too much about until one day he asked Han about it. Han simply replied, “Fifty percent of something is better than a hundred percent of nothing”. Sean then ask Han if he could beat Takashi in a race.
