In the well known novel To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Children Jem Finch and youngest daughter Scout Finch children of Atticus Finch face troubles and challenges and mostly always a shocking reminder of things are not always as they seem. In the novel Tom was accused of raping Mayella Ewell daughter of Bob Ewell, Tom couldn't have committed this crime because of his injury on his left arm. Tom was later on found guilty and the incarcerated, during his time in prison he was shot down while trying to escape and killed. “ To Maycomb, Tom's death was typical.
