“To Kill a Mockingbird” takes place in Maycomb, Alabama during the Great Depression. The narrator of the story is a little girl named Scout Finch. Other important characters are Jem Finch, brother of Scout, Atticus Finch, father of Scout and Jem, and is a lawyer, and Boo Radley, the mysterious neighbor who disappears from his house. In the book, Boo Radley is made out to be a scary, monstrous, and a criminal. People claim he stabbed his father in the leg with a scissors. Curious of Boo Radley, Jem, Scout, and Dill, their friend, sneak up to Boo Radley’s house to see what he is all about.
