For my movie analysis I selected the 1996 film, A Time to Kill. For the next four pages I will answer the following questions, What feelings did the movie evoke?, What surprised you?, What made you mad?, How much were you aware of the problem presented in this movie before you watched this movie?, How does this movie relate to your life?, What changes would you like to see in society as a result of this movie?, If you could change the ending, what would you change?
What feelings did the movie evoke?
This movie evoke many feelings in me. The first feelings that this movie evoked in me was disgust and horror. When I realized what those men were doing to that little girl, I was disgusted and horrified. As the daughter of a rape victim and a

I knew there is this problem especially in the south, mostly because I lived most of my childhood in the south. I know that there is a lot of racial tension in the US, but it is worse in the south.
How does this movie relate to your life?
The movie relates to my life because as a daughter of a rape victim and as a mother I can sympathize with the characters in the movie. I sympathize with the little girl because she is just a couple years younger than my mother was when she was raped. I feel for the child and how long and hard her recovery will be. Also I feel for her father because as a parent I can imagine how hard it was for him to walk into his house, to see how hurt his daughter was, to hear what had been done to her, and how bad her injuries were.
What changes would you like to see in society as a result of this movie?
I would like to see everyone be treated the same, for everyone to realize that it doesn’t matter what color your skin is or what god you believe in, that there are things that are wrong to do to others no matter who they are. It didn’t matter that the little girl was black it was wrong for them to rape her. I know that things like this don’t happen as much anymore, but there is still hate crimes happening which I think is
The movie Crash educates the viewers on the effects of racism, and the negativity it places in our society. The interpersonal communication that was played out throughout the movie, made me more conscientiously aware, of how I interact with different ethnicities, so as not to offend
All three of the creation stories, How the World Was Made, The Sky Tree, and Genesis, share several common characteristics. One of these characteristics includes how, when the world was first created, the earth was all water before any land was created. For example, in How the World Was
The movie teaches us to look beyond the cover and into who someone is as a person. We also learn that sometimes contact with people makes us reconsider our judgement towards them, to find out the real person underneath.
"The Book of Genesis" tells us how "God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and the cattle after their kind", (The Book of Genesis, Chapter 1, pg. 13). It also tells how "God created Man in his own image", (The Book of Genesis, Chapter 1, pg. 13). This explains that one God created the Earth, the animals, and finally, Man.
When deciding what movie to do for this particular paper I faced a few issues. I knew what the requirements were, but I wanted something different and something I could have fun watching and writing as well. So, after looking around and pondering movies for weeks I finally decided on a perfect choice The 60’s directed by Mark Piznarski?
Although there were many concepts that were present within the movie, I choose to focus on two that I thought to be most important. The first is the realistic conflict theory. Our textbook defines this as, “the view that prejudice...
Based on what you have learned from the film ( and what happened with popular cases today), what do you think can be done to control police racial biases against minority groups?
Where Genesis I describes a more ordered creation - the manifestation of a more primitive cultural influence than was responsible for the multi-layered creation in Genesis II - the second creation story focuses less on an etiological justification for the physical world and examines the ramifications of humankind's existence and relationship with God. Instead of Genesis I's simple and repetitive refrains of "and God saw that it was good" (Gen 1:12, 18, 21, 25), Genesis II features a more stylistically advanced look at "the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens" (Gen 2:4). While both stories represent different versions of the same Biblical event, Genesis II is significantly more complex than its predecessor and serves both to quantify the relationship between God and his creations and lay the foundation for the evolving story of humankind as well.
All in all, this is a great book that I’ve ever read in my life. It really inspires me. I do agree with Spike Lee that this book had change the way I thought and it changed the way I acted. Besides, it has given me the courage that I didn’t know I had inside me. I’ve learned a lot from the book. Once again, thank you sir for giving this kind of assignment
Although, it is proven difficult to completely change your point of view from the society you are brought up in. The characters in this film go through a lot of self-reevaluation to find their place in society, as well as a reevaluation of their initial prejudicial
As for the positive effects, I find it appropriate how the movie illustrates the struggles some people have to go through on a daily basis with the feelings, emotions, and their surroundings they endure. I mostly enjoy how they exhibit the recovery of it all. How even undergoing the hardest of struggles mentally, you can receive treatment for it, there are always people available, facilities willing to help that being as long as they are willing to try their very in return.
I think a lot of this movie reflected reality in several different ways. One example that really stood out to me, showing how real abortion and how uneducated people are about it was the other women in the waiting
Genesis is the first of the Five Books of Moses and it describes the time from Creation of the world to the descent of the Children of Israel to Ancient Egypt. Genesis itself is broken up into four literary movements, primeval history being the first. Primeval history is composed of the first eleven chapters of Genesis and during this time, the world was created. Throughout each of the four movements, however, the narrative’s focus shifts from the entire created order, to humanity, to the family of Abraham, to one of Abraham’s grandsons, and then finally culminating in the creation of the tribe of Israel and the presence of Israelites in Egypt. The creation of the world is said to have taken place between six literal days and in each of these days, some piece of the world was created and on the last day, the first man, Adam, and the first woman, Eve, were created...
This film really focuses on the characters. Their thoughts, anger, distress, and mistakes become part of your mistakes. This deals with a father’s s priority and how he will achieve that priority by using unethical ways like torturing an innocent man. Bringing up child abduction and torture are
The origin of the world has been a topic for discussion since the early days of theology. We can all see this matter around us; the sun, moon, trees, and wildlife, but where did it all come from? The first book of the Bible, Genesis, gives two separate explanations for this phenomena. In Genesis 1:1 through 2:3 the first account of creation is given, and in Genesis 2:4 through the end of chapter two the other explanation for creation is described. These two stories depict creation in different ways, but the underlying story in Genesis 1 and 2 are fundamentally the same.
