3 April 2018 Persuasive Essay A time capsule reflects a period of time in history. As millennials who is living in the technology age, there are thousands of items you can put on a time capsule, maybe even millions. However, when you can only put three items in a time capsule, you need to think very carefully what to put i the time capsule. Something that reflects 100 years ago clearly. Something that gives enough information about today. Something that is easy to use. For example, we know a lot about our past because there are many books and pictures that are from past. But they were not useful enough. When you write in a book there is a limited space to write. Moreover, we lost millions of books due because of the fact that they are not handy. They are not easy to carry around. If I had chance to put 3 items in a time capsule, those items would be a laptop, a charger,

A laptop that is filled with thousands of pictures, videos, music, newspapers, magazines, and documents from today. Imagine a laptop that has information about the every country in the world without even connecting to the internet. The laptop would basically reflect the today’s world. There would be many informations about each country in the world, such as their language and important facts about their country. There would be a file for every country, and it would have data for each country. There would be also hit songs and pictures from each country, to show people how was the world before. Moreover, it would show people in the future, what kind of musics today’s people liked. Even usage of the laptop is quite easy, there would be icons for the each country. The icons that are waiting to be clicked. To show people in the future how the world was 100 years ago. Therefore, when people open the time capsule 100 years later, they can see clearly how the world was 100 years
The study of past events have been a common practice of mankind since the verbal telling of stories by our ancestors. William Cronon, in his article “Why the Past Matters,” asserts that the remembrance of the past “keeps us in place.” Our individual memories and experiences shape how we act in our daily lives. In addition to influencing us at an individual level, our collective history binds us together as a society. Without knowing where we have been or what we have experienced, it is nearly impossible to judge progress or know which courses of action to pursue. The goal of the historian is to analyze and explain past events, of which they rarely have firsthand memory of, and apply the gained knowledge to make connections with current and future events.

It’s fall everyone and Halloween is coming.I would like to tell you that fall is the best season of all.
What are three ways that the past is relevant to us today? (Introduction, as follows)
Topic: Addiction to social media General Purpose: To persuade Specific purpose: To persuade my audience that social media is hurting us mentally and our social lives. Thesis: Social media can cause serious problems to you and your health, so we need to put addiction to social media to rest. I. Introduction A. Attention-getter: The ages of 55 and 64 year olds who use social media fell “worried or uncomfortable” when they can’t access any type of social media accounts (Wright, 2015).
Consider for example, the radio and television. The radio and television (before the advent of the internet) were monumental in their effects on transmitting culture, products, and ideas accross vast distances of the United States. Suddenly American’s could relate to the horrors of war overseas, as well as they could learn of each other’s culture, or product. Of course, this was not the same as being able to transport them there, though newer, better, faster forms of mass transit would be developed to help facilitate just this. But all of these developments pale in comparison to almost a half-century later, with the rise of the internet, and with the increasing array uses for it, in the modern day. +++====
“It [history] is like a river. From any vantage point, a river looks much the same day after day. But actually it is constantly flowing and changing…one day, when the banks are thoroughly weakened and the rains long and heavy, the river floods and bursts its banks, and may take a new course.” (Kay 1948)
Space travel isn’t worth the money we have been spending. Kennedy wanted to do more space travel, but I don’t think space travel is necessary. In Kennedy’s speech he talked about how we have to seek the unknown and find out what we don’t know. Kennedy was talking about space, but what about the ocean? We really don’t know that much about it and I think we should learn more about the earth we live on.
Pleas don 't take me to Schreiber, it 's so boring there! I tried everything I could to persuade my dad not to leave me and my younger brother Jay and my sister Nadia at my grandparents house while him and my mother went away on his business trip. “Theres nothing I can do, this is a big opportunity for me and the company” he said trying to comfort me. My dads company is very successful and we have a lot of money, but my family has never had the rich attitude. Me and my younger siblings were never spoiled, altho we had a few nice toys, we never got everything we wanted. I kinda like my parents for raising us this way, I always found those other rich girls to be snobs and I never really liked them. “I will be back in two weeks, Ill fly with you
Time Travel has always struck close to the imagination of the minds. From H.G. Wells ' "The Time Machine" to blockbuster films like "Back to the Future" - for years, time travel was the stuff of science fiction and crazy-eyed mad men but as physicists approach the subject of time travel with new advances in scientific theories and equipment, the possibility of time travel has become a more legitimate field for scientific endeavours. This paper will argue the possibility of time travel and the positive effects that this discovery will bring forth to modern day society: technological advancements.
As the world revolves, there are a lot of changes that happens in the world. For example, in terms of technology, there are a lot of improvements already. Back then, for example, features of mobile phones were only call and text. But more ideas have been developed and people have started to think about how to improve some things so that they can attract more consumers. The result is there are now more, in this case, high-tech phones with carious incredible features such as access to social media, hi-quality camera’s ability to upload to and download from the Internet, e-readers, and video calls for quicker and easier communication.
It is important to add music because it helps shape society in ways nothing else can. Will today’s music be more calm or energetic compared to the future? A FOOTBALL would also be included in the time capsule to show how important the sport is for majority of the country. It would be interesting to see if society still finds it as entertaining as it was generations beforehand. PAINTINGS would be an excellent choice in things to include in a time capsule. Throughout centuries art has changed in forms such as perspective and it would be incredible to see what we portrayed as art and how well the painting was executed. CELL PHONES would be important to include to show the differences in technology and to see the progression made throughout the years. A GAS RECEIPT will be included to show how much gas prices were and that we still used gas. Maybe in the future gasoline is no longer used and a new environmental source has been created. POPULAR MOVIES should be inside of the time capsule as well to review the digital graphics being used and how realistic we seem to think they are. Many older movies have what we perceive as “horrible quality” when in the time period it was created in was the
The World Turning Digital: computer is seen in virtually all aspects of our lives. From the mobile phones we use, the Television we watch etc. Makes it pretty interesting to found out how this work.
Literary works continue to be recorded thousands of years after the initial writings of the ancient world. The invention of the printing press greatly increased the availability of literature. No longer were books required to be hand copied and c...
