If Tim Hortons was going to open in Ajax, it would be located on Rossland Road and Church Street because on the map it acclaims that on the West End side it is very populated, and it is on a major road aswell as it is the only Tim Hortans in that specified area. The pro about the Tim Hortans being located on that intersection is that, if people need a “To go” snack and are hungry they don’t need to travel a far distance for coffee or any other snack, a lot of people don’t have time to make breakfast in the morning or they are running late for work so they can grab something very fast. Since it is located on a major road it is easily accessible to people, and since there is a high school nearby the students can grab stuff and hang out there,

Additionally, most of her staff were teenagers and most of her customers were

In the August 27th, 2014 article from The Globe and Mail, “Tim Hortons: How a brand became part of our National identity”, Joe Friesen observes that the intended merger of Tim Hortons with Burger King is not an ordinary business transaction, since Tim Hortons’ effective infiltration of the Canadian identity has made it an epitome of its culture and values.
A Canadian symbol familiar to the stomach is the Quebec-born dish of French fries topped with gravy and cheese curds called poutine. Poutine originated from Montreal in the late 1950s and it can be served as a main dish or side dish to an individual’s order. Since then, it has spread nationwide to restaurants and food trucks and now, this fast food can be found in other countries such as the United States and United Kingdom. However, poutine is more than just a plate of food, due to its distinction from other foods around the world, it has become a part of a Canadian’s identity and culture.
...tarbucks too got protested against when it attempted to replace Little Rickie. On Grand Street, Dunkin Donuts and 7-11 are being fought against. Below is a table from Center for an Urban Future showing mass proliferation of New York City by chains. Another thing worthy of note is that the proliferation by chains leads to a situation where decisions that affect the community are taken by people who are not so committed to the locality in their boardrooms.
An author’s way of writing and portraying a character are one of the important things to note when reading a novel. Whether they use third or first person as their view point, have their main character have an underlying dark secret that is not revealed until the end of the novel. However an author wishes to write their novel, there is always a drawback to it. Kazuo Ishiguro’s way of writing his novel Never Let Me Go is in a first person perspective where the narrator, Kathy H., reassess her life of being a clone but the way Kathy remembers and discusses her memories of living in Hailsham is hindered by the fact she inputs her own feelings and thoughts into what happened in the past.

Some examples of the internal weaknesses of Gator Town is that some merchandise and clothing can be too expensive for students who are unemployed or earn minimum wage. This can only leave those students to purchase only the snacks and drinks that are inexpensive. Additionally, not many people can go into Gator Town at the same time. That is because the size of the store is too small. This is another internal weakness because if over 10 students are in the store at the same time, it will get overcrowded. The top three external opportunities are the opportunity to incorporate a website for the store, advertise, and extend the variety of clothes by adding sweatshirts. Almost all businesses today such as Nike and Kohl's have a store website where customers can look to shop, find informations, and provides additional avenues for sales. Since Gator Town currently does not have a store website, it would be a big opportunity if the store incorporate one. This will allow students to find informations such as school hours and look at the merchandises online. Having an online website is very beneficial because the internet has become a key resource
With that store being there to help support new stores that would be entering the region. The goal was to have around 20 stores after two years of entering a market and have those stores expand even further into smaller cities and suburban locations. They also started to add drive-through because it made it more convenient for parents with small children. Some of the drawbacks of drive-through were that it took away from impulse buys and sometimes created bottlenecks in the line. Licensing the brand was also a great way that they expanded their business; by putting Starbucks in airports in malls they create a lot of foot traffic lead to successful stores. Starbucks carefully considered their image and the image they wanted to uphold when choosing licensees. The international market is now where Starbucks has the most potential to grow. As of right now Starbucks has plans to open 1,400 new stores in China. That’s more than half of the store it already has in China. The growth technique that I was most impressed with was that having two locations so close to each other would not saturate the market. The first store would see a drop in sales at first but would bounce back and the new store would grow. I notice we have that here, at Target in uptown you can actually see the Starbucks across the street while you are in line. Both seem pretty busy most of the time too.
When approached by Uncle Jimmy with the proposition of starting and flourishing a business in a foreign country of my choosing, along with any business of my choosing, as long as it was a legal operation, right out of college! I decided on a tavern in the beautiful country of Ireland. On the aesthetical side of my chose Ireland was first on my list for the rolling hills of green grass flowing in the calm breeze, the brilliant blue waters, and of course the plenteousness of hiking and photography opportunities. On the business side I chose Ireland for my Tavern because Ireland has a fair number of pubs and taverns already meaning that my tavern could flourish because taverns are an already established and flourishing type of business. In addition, Ireland has a legal drinking age of 18, with the exception

Last summer, city passed to open a 7-eleven on 501 N San Mateo Drive, just one block away from my apartment. It was at very convenient location for me to go and get a gallon of milk or a loaf of bread, and sometimes even a cup of coffee anytime of the day. I had become a regular customer there. Like me, local people mainly used it for grocery purposes since it was much closer than any other convenience store in our area.
