Third World Relief Think of all the money that the United States is giving away to third worlds. With all the money we are giving away we could be benefitting our country by helping the homeless. Third world countries are getting billions of dollars, with all that money the United States can be feeding the homeless and making more shelters. We could also be building more homes which create more jobs. Third world relief is awful for the countries that donating millions and billions of dollars to. With donating so much money your country will eventually be getting into debt. Instead of donating money to other countries worry about your own. The U.S. could be using that money to fund

When people have more time to train, especially for war there is a better chance of killing the enemy. Snipers are one of the most needed in war because they protect everyone on the ground that the soldiers do not see coming or think people could hurt the soldiers in the future. For example, Chris Kyle, he has around 125 conformed kills. If the soldiers had more ammunition and more time to practice there could be more shooters like him taking out the enemy. The more money the United States gives to the military, there could be more snipers on the battle field. The more eyes there are on the field, there is a great chance of you killing many of the enemy. With the money the military would receive, there would be more soldiers on the ground fighting in the front lines. The United States would have the enemy outnumbered and have a better shot of killing them right then and there. With this the war would be ending quickly, bringing back most of the soldiers to their families or to bring them back for training to make sure they are in …show more content…
Unemployment is one of major problems the United States has within its country. In this article it states, “The US economy added 236 thousand jobs in February, bringing down the number of unemployed people from 12.3 million to approximately 12 million people. Slightly more than a quarter of those are in their teens, 6.8% are white, 9.6% are Hispanics and 13.8% are African Americans.”(Unemployment Rate In US Lowest In Four Years 1) This article is showing how bad unemployment is and how many people are unemployed. Based off the quote this is one of the lowest it has been in years. With the money the U.S. would save, they could use that money to build other places like restaurants, malls, movie theatres, etc. which would give many jobs to people that do not have any jobs. Creating all these jobs would decrease the unemployment rate. The United States needs to take this one step at a time and the unemployment rate will slowly but surely
The United States continues to give around $550 billion in aid to other countries each year, making America the world's top donor by far (Richardson). While the United States government only supplies $252 billion to needy Americans each year. Former Assistant to the President for Communications, Patrick Buchanan said, "The idea that we should send endless streams of tax dollars all over the world, while our own country sinks slowly in an ocean of debt is, well, ludicrous" (Foreign Aid). The United States need to give money to support the domestic impoverished rather than supporting developing foreign countries because the poverty and homelessness in America is increasing faster than the aid necessary to reduce this trend. Part of the reason that the United States should aid the domestic impoverished is that some foreign countries cannot be trusted with the money given to them and in certain cases, the money intended to aid countries are harmful for that country’s well-being.
The main reason why the military should be paid more is because compared to professional athletes there is an extreme gap of pay between them. “On average, NBA players make $5.15 million,
Before extending aid to other countries, we should focus on our more prevalent domestic problems. Patrick Buchanan said, "The idea that we should send endless streams of tax dollars all over the world, while our own country sinks slowly in an ocean of debt is, well, ludicrous. Almost every American knows it, feels it, believes it." The topic of United States foreign policy is greatly debated, and a decision on how to handle is very hard to come by. It seems as if we are finally leaning towards less aid to foreign countries, as we try to cut wasteful spending. The American government is finally opening its eyes to the realization that all of the aid we are giving out may not be worth it. Our priority should be to help our homeless, instead of other countries' poor.
... aid across the world. As we have established that we do have an obligation to redistribute globally in a cosmopolitan perspective, distributing wealth however we may need to rethink what the best assistance is. Amaryta Sen conveys that before sending aid to the third world state, we would need to fully understand the limitation of freedom in the country. Redistributing wealth to global countries requires it to be evaluated by the economic shortage that they are suffering and to see whether it will be efficient in the long run. The more effective ways to contribute would be to international relief agencies or NGO’s that would pursue international development projects to help those in poverty or the alternative option by Tom Campbell’s idea of a ‘Global humanitarian levy’ which suggests a more appropriate taxation on all citizens to collectively aid those in need.
While there are benefits of spending this much on Military, many argue that such spending gives America an element
In response to the recent failure of the international community to prevent the famine crisis in the Horn of Africa since July 2011, Suzanne Dvorak the chief executive of Save the Children wrote that, “We need to provide help now. But we cannot forget that these children are wasting away in a disaster that we could - and should - have prevented” she added, “The UN estimates that every $1 spent in prevention saves $7 in emergency spending.” (Dvorak, 2011).
Unemployment of 7.3% has been a part of having illegal immigrants taking jobs of Americans. Many construction jobs and hardworking jobs are being taken from Americans because many immigrants are willing to do more work for less pay and this can truly affect the unemployment rate. Multiple occasions, in which, a citizen of the United States cannot find any jobs, having to start a new career, possibly having to move to where one can find a fertile econom...
First of all, the unemployment rates are usually low in some areas like in many other races. They are at its worst around Alaska, Northern Plains, and Southwest Regions. Also the gap between them and whites are largest around the Southern area. And to end that, the recovery rate is pretty slow.
Teaching young men how to survive in horrible conditions while America is at peace is a necessity in order to successfully overwhelm and capture a country. If America stays the way it is now and another country such as Russia tries to invade the US, there won’t be enough experienced soldiers and most American citizens wouldn’t even know what to do. That’s why America needs to reinforce conscription in order to be prepared for these worst case scenarios. This also would boost the economy by creating more job opportunities, because people would work and invest in the private sector of the armed forces. Entrepreneurs would heavily focus on the arms market as well as supplementary training camps. As everyone knows a nation can have a strong and large army available, but if your economy is too fragile and can collapse easily then the soldiers could wave the white flag right ahead just like what basically happened to Germany in the Second World War.

Poverty has conquered nations around the world, striking the populations down through disease and starvation. Small children with sunken eyes are displayed on national television to remind those sitting in warm, luxiourious houses that living conditions are less than tolerable around the world. Though it is easy to empathize for the poor, it is sometimes harder to reach into our pocketbooks and support them. No one desires people to suffer, but do wealthy nations have a moral obligation to aid poor nations who are unable to help themselves? Garrett Hardin in, "Lifeboat Ethics: The Case Against Helping The Poor," uses a lifeboat analogy to expose the global negative consequences that could accompany the support of poor nations. Hardin stresses problems including population increase and environmental overuse as downfalls that are necessary to consider for the survival of wealthy nations. In contrast, Peter Singer's piece, "Rich and Poor," remarks on the large differences between living conditions of those in absolute poverty with the wealthy, concluding that the rich nations possess a moral obligation to the poor that surpasses the risks involved. Theodore Sumberg's book, "Foreign Aid As Moral Obligation," documents religious and political views that encourage foreign aid. Kevin M. Morrison and David Weiner, a research analyst and senior fellow respectively at the Overseas Development Council, note the positive impact of foreign aid to America, a wealthy nation. Following the examination of these texts, it seems that not only do we have a moral obligation to the poor, but aiding poor nations is in the best interest of wealthy nations.
The money put in military spending is put into the military for many reasons some good and some bad. Some pros are that it is useful in stopping or at least minimizing foreign threats. Even though the threat from the Soviet Union has already been eliminated the country is still facing threats from smaller nations such as; Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Libya, Cuba, Syria and Sudan. It helps keep military preparation great, since readiness will decline if funds are not increased for training and equipment. It is critical to keep the military forces ready to fight and quickly win. It supports peacekeeping in foreign regions. There are several long-term demands on US troops from other regions, such as for peacekeeping in the Balkans for example. It
Famine is a problem which occurs worldwide, but just every other natural disaster where people are suffering we are not able to send aid every time nor should we be obligated to. We truly do feeling for those whom have been affect by such catastrophe, but to ask for help every single time is just too much. We should be allowed to donate as we please, for we have entitlement rights which enables us to use our earning as we like. I personally believe that we do not have an obligation to provide aid for famine relief because we deserve what we earned, famine is no different from any other natural disaster, and people already give enough out of goodwill.
Through individual, national, and global aid, we can take steps to decrease the overwhelming amount of poverty in less-developed countries and even in our own lands.
unemployment was something that I knew very well that you hear in the news every day but the news news doesn 't go into the depth of how what and how it happens. It is broken down the total population, from non-labor force into civilian noninstitutional labor force. And I didn 't know there 's type of job terms. I don 't know there 's a job loser a job lever reentrant or new
