He became fed up with his family and left for Montana in 1971 to live on the 1.4-acre plot of land he and his brother had bought near Lincoln . Once there, Ted built a small one-room shack on this parcel of land surrounded by dense deciduous forest. The shack measured 10 feet by 12 feet and lacked electricity and plumbing. Kaczinski lived by farming a few vegetables in his small garden and venturing into town only when necessary. It is unknown when Kaczynski started to make his bombs for the purpose of killing but his motives, the FBI believe are his beliefs about today’s society being dest...
From there, an investigation was conducted and agents found traces of chemicals on McVeigh’s clothing, similar to the ones from the bomb. They learned that McVeigh’s plan was due to the anger over the events at the Waco Siege two years earlier. The bombing investigation was one of the most exhaustive in FBI history; “the Bureau had conducted more than 28,000 interviews, followed some 43,000 investigative leads, amassed three-and-a-half tons of evidence, and reviewed nearly a billion pieces of information.” (FBI.com) The Oklahoma City bombing was “considered the worst and the largest terrorist act ever committed on U.S. soil.”

Joseph McCarthy was born on a country farm in a little town called Appleton in the state of Wisconsin. He was born on the fourteenth of November in 1908. He grew up with parents who were very devout Catholics. McCarthy was also the fifth child out of nine children. He grew up like any other child, but he dropped out of school at the age of fourteen to work. At first, he worked on his farm taking care of the chickens. After keeping the chickens, McCarthy managed a local grocery store in the city of Manawa, Wisconsin. Finally, McCarthy decided to return to high school. He went back in 1928 which would have made him twenty years old and still enrolled. After finishing high school, McCarthy attended college at a place called Marquette University. He then attended law school and became a lawyer after graduating (“Joseph McCarthy” 1).
Joseph Stalin became leader of the USSR after Lenin’s death in 1924. Lenin had a government of abstemious communist government. When Stalin came into government he moved to a radical communist society. He moved away from the somewhat capitalist/communist economy of Lenin time to “modernize” the USSR. He wanted to industrialize and modernize USSR. He had overworked his workers, his people were dying, and most of them in slave labor camps. In fact by doing this Stalin had hindered the USSR and put them even farther back in time.
... brother again. Ted can only sit in his cell and think about what if things would have turned out a different way. However, the most important fact points to the idea of how many more people like Ted Kaczynski who is just waiting to rage war against technology.
The Holocaust was one of the greatest tragedies the world has ever known. There were many key people who participated in this outrageous genocide however some get more attention then others. Adolf Eichmann is a classic example. Eichmann was a self-proclaimed “Jewish Specialist” and head of the Gestapo Department. Eichmann was responsible for keeping every train rolling right into the stations of the concentration and death camps during the holocaust. Now we will take a look into Eichmann’s childhood, life experiences, and his later actions to see what shaped into a man of hatred towards the Jewish race.
In 1978, the Unabomber started sending his bombs. Only after 17 years of searching, was the Unabomber caught and charged for his crimes. Theodore (Ted) Kaczynski was arrested in April of 1996 after the investigators searched his tiny 10x12 foot cabin in the woods of Lincoln, Montana. Ted built the cabin in 1971 and lived there by himself, with his closest neighbor being 1/4 of a mile away. The cabin had no running water, no electricity, and no plumbing.

Ted Cruz was born on Dec 22, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta to Eleanor Elizabeth Wilson Darragh and Rafael Bienvenido Cruz. Shortly after Ted Cruz’s birth the oil industry slumped in Canada causing his parents to have to sell their seismic-data processing company. At the age of three Ted Cruz’s father would divorce his mother and move to Houston. It was not until, six months later that Eleanor moved to Houston with Ted, and remarried Rafael. Despite the marital issues with his parents he still retained a close relationship with both of them. Cruz considers his mother “a best friend” and an “unbelievably caring and loving person” (Bureau). At a young age Ted Cruz was invested heavily in religion and education. His father would read him the bible every day and make declarations of the word of God. While his mother would be heavily dedicated in put him in more than one private school these included the world renowned Awty International School, Faith West Academy and The Second Baptist High school where Cruz later graduated from as Valedictorian. Because Cruz talked about God with his father everyday this helped craft his views on religion that would later influence his career as a politician. As Cruz grew up he became more involved with conservative politics. In high school Cruz was part of the Free Market Education Foundation, as a part of the foundation he learned about “Milton Friedman and other free-market economic philosophers” (Mackey), and also the Ten Pillars of Economic Wisdom. While Cruz was at The Free Market Education Foundation, the school organized the Constitutional Corroborators. Cruz and a group of five other boys toured Texas speaking at Rotary Club and other civic gr...
Theodore Robert Bundy was born November 24th, 1946 in Burlinton, Vermont to a 21 year old mother. Ted's mom never told him much about his father except that he was in the armed forces and they had only dated a few times. Ted was left in foster care for two months while his mom and parents decided what to do with him. In 1946 an illegitimate child was extremely looked down upon by society. Once they decided to keep Ted, his grandparents told everyone he was their adopted son.
Ted Kaczynski also known as the Una Bomber, lived deep in a Montana forest, secluded from society and shunned it. Ted Kaczynski killed 3 and wounded 23 people from his mail bombings (Pantucci, 2011). Not all lone wolf terrorists live like Ted Kaczynski in almost total seclusion, however they tend to disassociate with society as a whole and separate themselves from interacting in society. Normally, these lone wolves do not communicate with others their intentions, being withdrawn from society, and be radicalized in a secluded manner. As indicated by Rodger Bates when he states:
Son of a poverty-stricken shoemaker, raised in a backward province, Joseph Stalin had only a minimum of education. However, he had a burning faith in the destiny of social revolution and an iron determination to play a prominent role in it. His rise to power was bloody and bold, yet under his leadership, in an unexplainable twenty-nine years, Russia because a highly industrialized nation. Stalin was a despotic ruler who more than any other individual molded the features that characterized the Soviet regime and shaped the direction of Europe after World War II ended in 1945. From a young revolutionist to an absolute master of Soviet Russia, Joseph Stalin cast his shadow over the entire globe through his provocative affair in Domestic and Foreign policy.
The intent of this study is to determine exactly how much responsibility Ted Kaczynski must accept for his actions as the UNABOMBER. The essential problem of the situation is that Kaczynski claims complete responsibility, but he has been ruled mentally ill by the State. He adamantly denies his illness, stating that social maladjustment, although technically a sickness, is distinct from an organic based illness, and therefore within his realm of free will. We will also address the role his brother and sister-in-law played in the tragedy, their motives, and the impact their pleas have brought to bear on the dilemma.
Ted Kaczynski was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. His parents were Polish descents; they were hard workers who came to this country in search of the American dream and start a family with good values, (Esoteric Nation, 2013). Wanda Kaczynski, mother of Ted, described her son as a normal, loving, and playful child until the age of nine months. At this age Ted was hospitalized for having hives; during this time parents were not allowed to stay in the hospital with their children. Ted was in the hospital for ten days; upon returning home her mother noticed a radical change in him. The boy was no longer a joyful baby, did not establish eye contact with his mother, and showed retracted, (Winton & Scott, 2007).
Everyone has a different development, but what is development? According to Santrock (2014, pg 2), Development is the process of change that begins at conception and throughout the human life span. During the lifetime, the processes involved in the developmental changes are biological process, cognitive process and socioemotional process. Biological process is “the changes in an individual’s physical nature” (Santrock, 2014, pg 10). People grow taller, weight gains, hormonal changes are the examples of biological process. Cognitive process is “the changes in an individual’s thinking, intelligence, and language” (Santrock, 2014, pg 10). It means an individual knows how to use knowledge to solve problems, making decisions and understanding the language. Socioemotional process is the changes in emotion, personality and the relationship with others (Santrock, 2014, pg 10). In other words, people express their emotion and personality more clearly, and with relationship, they know who they want to interact with and how to behave with that person. Just like any others, Ted Kaczynski and Alice Walker have to go through the processes of developmental changes. The lives of Ted Kaczynski and Alice Walker were totally the opposite of each other. They were in a different socioeconomic status. “Socioeconomic status refers to a person’s position within society based on occupational, educational, and economic characteristics” (Santrock, 2014, pg 8). Ted Kaczynski was a genius and had a good background family. However, he always withdrew himself from social interaction. He became a professor in UC Berkley. After a few years, he resigned and moved to a rural area. Later in his life, he was known as a Unabomber. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced t...
