Novels that are not your typical stories that we are used to reading are the ones that come with a great meaning and various types of different themes. Every Day by David Levithan is not a typical novel for example the main character in every novel has a gender and is a human person, but in this book the main character does not have a gender and is not human. A the main character is sexless he/she is a traveling spirit who jumps from body to body every night. The body that he goes into could be a male, female, bi, lesbian, gay or transgender. In the book A had a crush on a male and has a crush on a female. The second character name is Rhiannon she is a female who has a boyfriend name Justin yet they broke up, because Justin overreacted when …show more content…

Rhiannon who had a boyfriend Justin they end up breaking up. A thought it was easier for him to get with her, but it hurt Rhiannon that she still did not give A a chance. Nathan a former body of A is trying to find out what possessed him that night when A was in his body and was left out on the side of the road so in other wise A has a handful of problems to deal with. What cause his situation was his irresponsibility for being in love with Rhiannon. He ruined two body Nathan and Michael also Rhiannon’s education. “The school musical is tonight, and I would like to go see it.”(Levithan pg.67) A also left the party late so he was not going to be able to get to his house” I drive as fast as I can, but it’s not enough.”(Levithan pg75) He ends up parking on the side of the road fell asleep so it would not hurt him to transfer from body to body” At 11:50, I pull over to the side over to the side of the road. If I close my eyes, I should be able to fall asleep before midnight.”(Levithan pg75) Which was a big mistake because the next day Nathan had reported that the devil possessed him and he wants to find out if there are other victims as himself” THE DEVIL MADE HIM DO IT.”(Levithan pg84) Nathan at the end finds a way to communicate with A because he forgets to log off out of Nathan’s computer”…is an incoming message from none other than Nathan Daldrdy.”(Levithan pg80) This proves that ever since A had Rhiannon as his first priority he has done his duties sloppy. Also that love makes people forget about everything that is not allowed and makes us irresponsible. For these mistakes that A caused Nathan’s reputation kind of got ruined he has people making fun of him and has his parents have trust
