The theme of Saving Grace is love is hard and can get you into sticky situations. The theme is important because it communicates the way Evie feels and what she is going through. In Saving Grace Evie loves Brianna and risks getting caught by the cops and going to jail just to be with her baby. She also ran away from the comfort of her home just to be with Justin and Brianna. She risked Justin, who was the one driving her to Montreal just to be with her baby. In Evie’s case love was very hard for her because she loves Brianna but it is very risky to keep her and it got her into a situation whereby she did not have enough things to care for her baby and her baby becomes sick and she does not know what to do.
In To Kill a Mockingbird, the theme plays an important role during the course of the novel. Theme is a central idea in a work of literature that contains more than one word. It is usually based on an author’s opinion on a subject. The theme of innocence should be protected is found in conflicts, characters, and symbols. In To Kill a Mockingbird, a conflict that connects to the theme that innocence should be protected is the death of Tom Robinson.
One example of the theme occurs when the author first introduces the story. “But the summer I was 9 years old, the town I had always loved morphed into a beautifully heartbreaking and complicated place.” (pg. 1). The author is saying that the year she turned nine, she found out something about her town that broke her heart and changed the way she saw it. This quote is important because it supports the theme. It shows that now she is older she has learned something about her town that made her wiser than when she was younger. She is now more informed because the new information changed her and caused her to begin to mature.
Theme is the subject of talk, a topic, or morals that the author is trying to get readers to comprehend. When reading an excerpt, the theme is not directly stated in the text, so you must dig deeper into the context to understand the matter trying to be portrayed. In both Angela's Ashes and The Street, we can distinguish a like theme of struggling through life’s complications. After reading the two different stories, we could select the theme from using character, events, and the setting.

Theme: The theme of the story is that sometimes in life you have to make sacrifices, big or small, to help things that are more important then what benefits you more. This is shown plenty of times throughout the story, but the most important time was when Sadie had to choose to save her father, or stop Set and...
Just Mercy documents the incredible and heart wrenching experiences of Equal Justice Initiative founder and attorney extraordinaire, Bryan Stevenson. Stevenson’s niche is a unique and unexpected focus for a lawyer. He works with people that society often wrongfully characterizes as “criminals” that are usually either on death row or condemned to life in prison. Before seeing a segment of Opera’s interview with Stevenson, and reading this book, I couldn’t understand what typically motivates a lawyer to want to protect the rights of criminals and the un-just. In fact, one of Stevenson’s early mentors, Steve Bright, explained the, “‘opportunity’ isn’t necessarily the first word people think of when they think about doing work with us [Southern Prisoners Defense Committee],” because, “they live[ed] kind of simply, and the hours are pretty insane,” (Stevenson 2014, 6). However, a young Stevenson was undeterred by this claim, and went on to work some incredible cases, and exonerate many innocent and suffering individuals.
The theme was created by the characters personalities and actions. When John Proctor placed his life on the line just so his name will be cleaned, that was a very noble and prideful action to do. Pride was also known when Danforth did not want to admit he was wrong for the people that he had placed into the jail. Both men did not was to blacken their name but went different ways about it. Goody Proctor and Rev. Parris both lied in court by keeping something that would make their families look bad. They both did it for the love they have, but Goody Proctor wanted to save her husbands while Rev. Parris just wanted to save his own
“It Alex doesn’t come I’ll need to generate a plan of my own”(Oliver 422). This shows the theme because she would have never wanted to fall in love with a guy even after she was cured but she did anyways because she loved him. This is important because, if she had never fallen in love with Alex, none of this would have happened and she would have gotten cured without worrying about what Alex is doing and whether he will come to her when she’s being cured.
Theme plays a very important part in this short story. Theme is the idea of a literary work abstracted from its details of language, character and action. The great example of theme that is evident throughout the entire short story is the duty to perform certain acts. We can see here that the Irishman Donovan is very big on obeying his duty to carry out orders that have been authorized to him.
There are many themes that occur and can be interpreted differently throughout the novel. The three main themes that stand out most are healing, communication, and relationships.
getting out of her bed in Cedar room, to go in search of her baby.
In one’s traditional faith it was obvious total reliance reverence God. God’s grace in traditional faith is considered history of what one believed about God. God’s grace governed much of the Old Testament, however, grace is not obviously seen, but described. For example, Psalms 78: 38, “But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity. And did not destroy them, yes many a time He turned His anger away, and did not stir up all His wrath.” Grace is a description of the character of God, which is displayed by His gifts to men. God is a God of grace, and He desires to make this known not only to men, but also to the angelic host.
In the novel, Atonement, by Ian McEwan, it is spilt into three vital parts with the final completion, a letter from the author. The first part of the novel happens all in two days starting from the point of view of a thirteen-year-old girl named, Briony Tallis, the youngest of Jack and Emily Tallis. Briony has two older siblings, Leon and Cecilia; Cecilia is connected to Robbie Turner, a son of the family’s charwoman. The second part of the novel has Robbie in prison on account of false accusation and also his experience through the war in France. Flash forward five years to Briony as an eighteen-year-old woman and in complete guilt for her actions she has caused. Then the final conclusion is on Briony’s older life along with the other characters life and then the letter from the author. In each part of the novel Ian McEwan illuminates the themes of guilt, perception, and innocence, which affects the characters in relation to one another.
