I have thought upon the dilemma of the punishment for the uncivil Capulet's and Montague's for quite sometime now, and now I have written this decree to end all rumors of their fate. It is known that Juliet Capulet, daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet, and Romeo Montague, son of Lord and Lady Montague are beyond punishment due to their tragic deaths caused from the grievances made by the two families unmannerly dispute. And as those two ill- fated lovers remain dead, their families will forever curse the days they spent bickering. Now it is my job, as your ruler to allot a fair, and righteous infliction for the rampage we have had to witness take place in our town of Verona. Starting with the two belligerent families first, I wish that
the Capulet’s and Montague’s be exiled together for at least thirty days to further end their conflicts. I shall put up with no more violent outbursts in our town, and I truly do not believe that their hatred towards each other has been resolved. Spending their days away from Verona, exiled together, will force them to see the damage they have made together. As for Friar Laurence, he must give up his marriage duties. He must not wed anyone else and if he may so, it will be punishable by immediate death. Any pharmacist in Verona who carries or distributes poisoned will be immediately executed, and as well his/hers first born child. Any further actions of fighting or combat in Verona by anyone will also conclude in death; this also goes for any sword fighting of any kind. If anyone witnesses a fight anywhere, they must confront me or my advisors immediately. Any bystander who does not speak up will receive a fine.
Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story with many colorful characters. People often mistake this tragedy to be a romantic fairy tale, which is not the case at all. Most of the play’s characters closely related to Romeo and Juliet carry some responsibility, but there are three characters or groups who had the greatest influence on the story’s outcome. Friar Laurence could be blamed for marrying them and keeping it secret. Juliet’s nurse encouraged Romeo’s pursuit of Juliet, even helping Juliet sneak out to marry. Last and most deserving of blame, however, are the parents, Lord and Lady Capulet and Lord and Lady Montague. If not for the family feud and hatred, Romeo and Juliet would’ve lived, not tasting the bittersweetness of death.
The play, Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, is about a tragedy of two star crossed lovers who want nothing more than to be together forever. “…Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.” (2.2.35-36) Romeo, a Montague, who is young and passionate, meets Juliet at a Capulet party. When they meet, it’s love at first sight. Juliet, a Capulet, is a beautiful young lady tired of being controlled by her father, Lord Capulet. The two families are in a never ending feud that comes between Romeo and Juliet’s love. In the course of four and a half days, Romeo and Juliet plan their marriage with the help of Priest Friar Laurence and Juliet’s Nurse. After the couple is married, Romeo is banished from the city of Verona, causing an issue for their ideal fate together. Lord Capulet forced Juliet to marry Count Paris after she married Romeo, leaving Friar to structure a plan to avoid a second marriage for Juliet. Juliet takes a sleeping potion that makes her believably dead for forty-two hours – during this time, Romeo was to be told that she is still alive; however he was not, so he purchased illegal poison so that he did not have to live without Juliet. Juliet wakes up only to find her true love lying dead next to her, thinking it necessary to stab herself with a dagger. After the couple dies, there leaves one question; Who should be pardoned, and who should be punished? The Nurse should be pardoned, while Friar Laurence and Count Paris should be punished.
In Romeo and Juliet, there are many guilty parties that contribute to the deaths and demise of Romeo, Juliet, Mercutio, Tybalt, Count Paris and the many other victims of the bitterness and grudge between the Capulets and the Montagues. However, the three most culpable parties are the set of opposing parents; the Montagues and Capulets, the prince; Escalus of Verona and ultimately the lovers, Romeo and Juliet. The blame lies mostly on these three parties because their decisions greatly influenced the outcome of this Shakespearean tragedy. In this essay, I will prove and condemn the prince, parents and lovers for the losses of life and the confusion in Romeo and Juliet.

(Prologue 3) Society’s unreasonable obsession with dignity threatens to disgrace either foe who steps down as cowardly and gutless, so that the two families, who cannot even remember the reason of their inane feud, are burdened to continue fighting or face absolute social humiliation. If this fixation was eradicated, the two foes would have made peace years before, and most importantly, Romeo and Juliet’s lives would be spared, since their families’ harmony would render their risky plan unnecessary. Is the senseless death of innocent young people worth ephemeral glory? Society obviously thinks so, and plants these toxic doctrines into its people’s minds, creating a vicious cycle of unnecess...
Now in Act 5, this is the time that Romeo shows the theme death. He
The crime which Montague and Capulet committed was that they were fighting with each other. The reason for which they started fighting is uncertain. The hatred they feel towards each other filters down to their family members and servants. Gregory exclaims in the first scene, "The quarrel is between our masters, and us their men." (Act 1, sc (i) line 19). He is saying that how their masters fight is also theirs. Since Montage and Capulet committed atrocious crimes, god found a way to punish them both. The way in which he punished Capulet is first he killed off Tybault, and then he took his daughter Juliet, along with her proposed suitor, County Paris. Montague is emotionally destroyed when his only son, Romeo is banished from Verona, the same day that Benvolio breathed his last. . This upsets his wife so much that night after Romeo was banished, she slept, never to wake up again. The next day, he learns that his son, Romeo, has committed suicide, which brings an end to the emotional punishment he will receive. Both Capulet and Montague committed a crime, and for these acts have received the appropriate punishment.

Then Romeo soon meets Juliet and they become a thing. The new couple are wed secretly and only the friar and Juliet's nurse knew. Then after Romeo kill tybalt and is forced to
