Across the book, there are out-of-the-ordinary methods and hints that depict what the word “assimilation” means. Assimilation is also displayed with theme, to be brave and take risks. Maddy had to take risks and be courageous in order to adapt to her new world and find love. Author of ‘Everything, Everything”, Nicola Yoon showed hidden ideas of symbolism to give the reader the sensation of assimilation.
