“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Are words that can be found on The Declaration of Independence, a documented piece about the founding of the American life. Every life radiates with an illuminated glow, certain components in life add the sparks that set this mortal existence into firing flames and add light to an otherwise dark world. In order for this life to have an ambience in this dark society, it needs have liberty, the absence of fear, and the freedom to be oneself without negative consequences. In 1776 the founding fathers created a document announcing America’s demand freedom from its governing country, England, due to the fact that their life wasn’t worth living without freedom from a criminating system. The king was neglecting essential laws to be ordained in the states. He was only allowing laws that benefited him and not the presiding citizens of the colonies. He was neglecting certain representatives, to have positions in government where they could make a change. He made the judges reliant on him, therefore making the system corrupt in his favor. His officers were harassing the people and he was waging wars against them without them having any forms of immediate protection. Essentially America was at one of its lowest points, and this document was announcing its right to be reborn in freedom. Without freedom America was dead. When they don’t even have the right to deny access to their own home, life lost its spark. As demonstrated, life’s ambiance needs to have liberty, deficiency of fear, and the independence to be oneself without penalties. The founding fathers declared themselves free from Brittan in order to live life in liberty. The Salem witch trials were restricting life with fear. Mrs. Mallord didn’t feel like herself with her husband living out the life for her, and Elizabeth didn’t feel alive when she constantly feared rejection for being herself. They all had one thing in common; they didn’t feel like they had a life worth living. When there is no motivation to be illuminated in the dark recesses of this world, the darkness will try to take over and engulf the remaining spark until there is nothing left but an empty of abyss of black.
