A two million dollar legacy: one strange game for 16 players. Mr. Westing tried to put everyone into his trick. Mr. Westing, the guy who has millions of dollar but no one can share with him. His building-sunset tower has been rent for 16 people, which are a family, a doctor, a judge, a secretary, and a thief. One day, they found the dead body of Mr. Westing in his old house. Westing’s legacy said he would give two million dollar to the person who found the murder. He said he was murder by one of his inheritor. A suspenseful game began. The main charter is a twin tail hair girl, Tabitha-Ruth "Turtle" Wexler found all the keys of this game. This novel is based on this smart girl to led reader find out the murder and answers. This girl like play stock market and cheese. But she hate anyone touch her tail, once you touch, she will kick your shank and get away from her. At the end of the novel, no one get the two million dollar legacy, but every got what they need. Some of them realized what were important for them; love, friendship, or family. If we have to determine a winner, I think that will be Mr. Westing, he spent all his life with his family, and help them found out what they lose in their lives. He has four different identities. Sam "Windy", which was a fakes his death as self-made millionaire; a realtor Barney Northrup; as Sunset Towers doorman Sandy McSouthers; as Julian Eastman which run the Westing Paper Products Corporation as its newly-elected chairman. Finally, he unties his family all together, finish his goal. It’s a happen ending. Over this entire novel, it might a good novel for children, but so many characters, confuse reader. And some plot seems have some problem on it. Such as, why people very easy to ac... ... middle of paper ... ...ore clear, reader will connect certain behavior to a particular person. Some time, it use to misled reader to guess the plot. “The three heads twisted from the doorman to the delivery boy. Doug Hoo ducked Turtle’s whizzing braid. Touch her precious pigtail, even by accident, and she’ll kick you in the shins, the brat. He couldn’t chance an injury to his legs, not with the big meet coming. The track star began to jog in place.” In here, writer setting once some one touch Turtle’s whizzing braid, she will kick that person. So when criminal suspect mention in the novel, we will think about which person has been kick by Turtle, like a mark. Over this entire novel, it is a good novel for children. It train children how to think logically, and notes people we should cherish our family, and people around us, very educate. Children can learn true is always been hide.

    The Westing Game starts out with the delivery of six letters signed by Barney Northrup, to six different households on the Fourth of July. The letters offer a once in a lifetime chance to rent an apartment at the new and luxurious Sunset Towers, located on the shores of Lake Michigan. However, in the movie, Sunset Towers was located in the city. In the book, Sunset Towers was built mostly of glass and stood five stories high.
